The Druuge wasn't that bad actually..... the recoil is fantastic (until you hit the planet... and it almost always happens sooner or later...... strangely enough, as if it was hardcoded into the game). I have been able to destroy targets in zoom out mode across the screen! But otherwise it was a boring ship to use..... I guess most sniper jobs are like that, a lot of waiting, a lot of boredom and waiting for that perfect shot.
Xenove
Hello, just got into discord. Id name is Xenove, the same one I am using here.
Yes I should get a key and try it out. I have been so occupied that I did not have the change to visit the Starbase. So who do I get the key from? From Frogboy?
I think the main concern is that the playing field is now much bigger than in SC2 so therefore the distance gives the earthling cruiser a greater advantage. But you are correct. The cruiser's powerful nukes were already quite balanced against other factors and in fact the cruiser was not a big favorite to use (at least for me), which shows that they were not all powerful. If you got unlucky and crashed into a planet it was cumbersome to escape the gravity field.&nb
Ehh? Boring to limit the number of nuke missiles but not boring to nerf them??? The easy way out?? Serious? Okay then how about we do it this way. The nukes are actually the advanced kind where the power of the nuke is adjusted by how much nuclear material it is loaded with. It takes time to charge those nukes so when you fire them quickly (successively) then they only have a low nuclear load and are not powerful. To achieve the highest pow
Yes I agree with IBN. Crew restrictions adds an aspect to realism that gives it more of an adventure feel. As in you are in an expedition and you need to decide how many people to send foraging, how many to send exploring, and how many to defend the base camp. I remember the times when I had such low crew numbers that I would send my landers with just one crew because at that moment in time I had more than enough landers and not enough cre
If we look at many science fiction movies (Star Trek comes to mind). We see that it is only those at the bridge who do any actual controlling for fighting. However the Enterprise is full of other "crew" that are just cannon fodder to create the drama of loss of life. You don't actually see the hundreds of crew members in the Enterprise controlling the ship when fighting or in fact when doing anything else. And a lot of processes can be and are automated. Many time
Don't think of the crew as singular but more like as a plural group term. Visualize it this way. What we see as one crew is actually the minimum amount of people in a team called a crew needed to operate the vessel. Don't think about how many people makes a crew that is not need. Let's just say x people = 1 Crew. That x could be 1 or it could be 100. So a vessel with 10 crew has 9 backup teams that can operate the vessel. When the final "crew" die
I think you should just limit the number of nukes. The upside of human tech is that it is destructive. The downside is that it is not so renewable. Other alien races with more advanced tech have moved away from such weapons systems to energy ones because it is harder to run out of "bullets". Just limit the number of nukes to 10 per battle (or 10 per 5 min refresh rate). That will make it fair. Powerful but limited. After you run out you are a sitting duck.
Oppps... tried to leave a reply but it looks like it went to the wrong place. Disregard....
I wonder who submitted " Ando Gyeongsang". That is the name of a region in Korea. Surprised to see a Korean as a founder. I didn't think this game was known in Korea during the glory days of Star Control.
Certainly we name things according to our conventions. But you don't arbitrarily give out completely outrageous names to things already existing. Almost all cities around the world are called by the name they are called in their language. Some names do evolve to aid in pronunciation but still stay similar. <p style="text-al
Yes it does. We are talking about a galaxy with aliens and galactic civilizations. ALL stars and planets will have been visually discovered already. We humans on earth have already named many stars despite the fact that we have not visited any stars yet and don't live in that star system. The viewpoint that a planet can only be named because someone "visited it" is quite frankly a very bad humancentric habit, like Columbu
Don't worry NDA on these forums.
As I said before, they messed up because they had to have a uniform game experience to randomly placed players. Meaning that you HAVE to find the same crap all the time else your gameplay may be too hard or too easy. HG appear to be good programmers but sure don't know how to design a game. I could use what they have and design much better, more fun, and balanced game. They just got lazy with thinking.
Exactly!
I don't even know why you should be able to see gravity wells. It is not like you could see them on melee. Gravity wells should not be visible. Does the space shuttle we currently use have a radar showing earth and a gravity well visually? I haven't actually seen gravity wells explicitly shown in the radars of spaceships because that is something hard to map. Gravity being such a dark concept. Plus gravity we
Well they do have floating "rocks / pieces of earth" you can land on. I actually find the survival mechanics of NMS so absurd they all seem arbitrary. I was on this planet were during the daytime the temperature would rise to 40 degrees celsius and I would be getting thermal damage. But thankfully during the night cycle the thermal damage disappeared. The problem was that at night the temperature would rise to as much as 58 degrees!!! It was actually hotter at n
If Bars are used because different ships have different crew levels and you are not sure how to fit them in the designated space use color codes and size... A large Blue dot taking the space of 4 green dots represent 10 crew and green dots represent 1 crew. A large Red oblong Rectangle taking the space of 8 green dots represent 20 crew. I made an example but I see no way of pasting it....
The secret code can be "Iamover30". I like NMS but I think the problem with NMS was that the devs got quite lazy and used Procedural Generation (henceforth Proge) toooooo liberally. In fact I think they spent more time playing around with the Proge math than the actual game and gameplay. Also the Proge universe provided the seed that created the planets. This probably led to nonsensical planets and the sameness across the universe. Meaning that all plane
NVM it seems only dolphin browser seems to be able to handle aspx.
Hello, was wondering if Stardock could use something other than aspx for the vault files. I have not being able to download the zip files through my iPhone. Sometimes I am on the move with only my iPhone or iPad available.,,,.
Ohhhhh supermelee.... and multiplayer at that!!!! We get to kill each other.... hahaha... time to settle the score and kill the poet.
[e digicons]:meow:[/e] [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e] [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e] Yeah.... the concept of sitting ducks...
[e digicons];P[/e] For History's sake the concept of Rock, Scissor, Paper is older than computers..... what others call "turtling" or "Star Casteling" I call it "Turreting". Pretty good strategy in a dog fight where I have the longer range weapons and stronger shield but less mobility I would just park my spaceship and use it as a turret. It was pretty effective for Elite...... there are also many ships in SC2 that can take advantage of
