So....initial analysis. As you said, the "metagame" makes it the gap between newbie and experienced player grand-canyon-esque. I've played with the three characters from the tutorial along with alistar a couple times. I suppose my first question is: in order to better grasp the nuances of gameplay, should I just pick one character and get good with him/her, with maybe a couple different types of builds. Or should I try playing with as many characters as possible to increase general famili

This is more of a quick general question. I used to play Demigod way back when it first came out and I really liked it, though I wasn't that good at it. I started getting better, but then I got busy in life and was not able to continue with it as much as I originally did; during which time it seems to have declined into virtual non-existence. At the moment, though I have a bit more time and, since I enjoy Demigod's gameplay, I'm considering getting re-involved in something similar

the late game come-backs i believe are due to the dynamic of the citadel. if a team is starting to get hammered and pull back and work on defense, they will eventually mount enough xp and gold to got back on the offensive (given the other team is overly aggressive and ends up just feeding rather than progressing). the teams that just blow through and make come-backs impossible are the ones that understand that their first crack at the citadel better be a good one

i would have liked a Tekken-style beginning and ending movies for each demigod. but in terms of story...u got it in the pregame cinematics. this is arena based combat. like a game such as unreal tournament, it's just about beating ur opponents so that u can be the best (or in this case, a god).

i've checked and the only major things i had running were impulse (which is supposed to run), my spybot S&D teatimer, and my antivirus. the slow down happened again, and im theorizing it only happens after i run demigod a second time before a reboot, cause so far the first time i run it everything is fine.

Sedna likes to blindside me. I'll have half hp and be working on finishing some enemy demigod when all of a sudden I die, look up, and see "Sedna killed Ellimist".

ya after i restarted my comp everything went back to normal. i was even able to run two brothers rather well. there are still stutters here and there, and the settings are all low, but other than that everything works fine

Yeah I just got this too (I posted it in my Performance thread in the general section). The first time I played things were running fine. The second time the entire game seemed to run at 50% the original speed. I haven't restarted tho...I'll try that I guess.

Alright, updates: I did another tourney playthrough, this time with Oak and showing the fps. With the settings in my original post, I was getting an average of 15 fps. I then turned everything down to "low" and got it to go as high as 30 fps. I finally settled on all 'lows' and the two texture options on "medium", and I got an average of probably in the low 20s. Everything was going well. Then the Two Brothers map comes on, and everything w

uh...I haven't tried online stuff yet, but I had d/led Impulse previous to getting demigod in order to use these forums. i then registered the game to get the update. will this cause some kind of error or will it recognize i already have an Impulse account?

Okay, I'll let you know. In terms of the lag though, it seemed to be the same for each map. Idk if u mean that the maps have different levels of detail, but if you're talking about size I can't say since in the tournament its always 4 on 4 (I also have yet to play Prison, The Two Brothers, or that really big circular one).

If any of you had visited my other post, you'd see that my first playthrough of Demigod was a tournament as the Rook. First Impressions: This game gets fast in a hurry, and it will certainly keep you focused. I remember trying to see what all the items benifits were when I hear the "FIRST BLOOD!" announcement. I subsequently though, "Oh dam...I better get in there!". When I did get in there, I got owned, and I mean OWNED. It took me sever

Okay...so a lot of you don't know how your PC will handle Demigod. Well my laptop is by no means designed for gaming in any way, so here are my specs and my performance. Specs: Dell Vostro 1400 Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.60 GHz (2 CPUs) 2 GB RAM (with a temporary 8 GB stick running on ReadyBoost) DirectX 10 NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS with 128 MB dedicated video memory (ForceWare version 169.09)</p

i have an 8400m and it ran call of duty 4 on default settings perfectly. i also could get it to run assassin's creed and crysis at the low settings. there are newer, better drivers for 8400m that improve performance and allow overclocking (stuff that i never tried yet). i plan on getting it, so i'll let u know how it runs.

well i'd gladly preorder and give all profit to stardock, but i unfortunately have a gamestop giftcard that needs used. that and there is a gamestop like 4 blocks away from my dorm room; which is must faster than d/ling (plus i always get nervous at the idea of a preorder and downloading a full game from the internet; i just like being able to look at and hold the thing in my hands, just my preference i guess) im going home this weekend for easter anyways, so if i

Pretty sure I am posting in the right spot. Anyways, I noticed that you replaced the "Mythology" link on the website with a link called "The Game". I personally found Mythology to sound better, but that is just preference. The bug I found is when a person is currently under "Community" (on the forums), the link reads as "Mythology" and clicking on it takes you to an empty mythology section. I checked the other parts of the site, and "The Game" link is still there with
