> What if he someday wanted to make a Fall from Heaven game? WHAT? I think I saw it back in 2012 or even 2011 that he is ALREADY making another FFH as a standalone. And I really believe, though my memory might fail me, that there was a vote from our beloved leader about what to work on next - new MoM, new MoO or new Elemental or something like that. With a post scriptum that asked users not to suggest new FFH because, well, FFH was said to be already in making.<

I did call them, they told me that app support is via email only. If you managed to install them, I suggest that you also zip and store the destination folder.
Same here, except I'm in Russia. But their tech support doesn't reply to me anymore. Because they no longer care about their reputation in countries with no GameStop shops I guess.
They stopped responding to me too. I think we should create a topic on some major PC gaming forum to attract attention to the problem. Any ideas on where?
I've been exchaning emails with their support for a week now. They asked me if I can ping secure.impulsedriven.com When I told them that pings timeout, they told me to use administrator account. This is only one example of their support's brilliance. It's like talking to a wall.
And where exactly do they give those Uplay, Steam etc. codes? I have had a painfully long conversation via email with them, and finally someone named "Cesar P." from gamestop support gave me a list of my games' serial numbers Which I have no idea what to do with. Steam doesn't recognize them (except one game which was already using steam) And login.gamestop.com is down, so I can't see list of my owned games. Purchase history doesn't contain any of those ga
1. I mean healing between battles. Spending mana to heal everyone? In beginning of game? 2. A group of 'defender' troops is better, also a group of blunt weapon soldiers cant take out most champions
Bugs: 1. When enemy casts something that converts my city, game becames unplayable - units don't move, can't end turn, and there's a wrong list of buildings after the city is recaptured. 2. Bestiary doesn't work well 3. Quest for magic monument location disappears together with the quest from the list randomly 4. Can upgrade crossbowmen to use shields 5. After pre-final battle hero appears on field with elementals with 1 hp and gets raped in first t
I am confus. Why do you tell to not answer "Make FFH", and there is option "Go focus on making Fall From Heaven sooner" ? I'm totally voting for FFH, and please, contact guys who made Rise from Erebus modmod for FFH - they have greatly deepened the lore and improved the mechanics of FFH mod!
Also other players are still too peaceful towards each other.
Update: It's only true for medium ravaged world, a large world with plenty of resources and mana still becomes too easy after you get an army of 3-4 high level champions. Strongly agree about overpowered Blizzard. And melee hero with Discipline is an instant tank.
Workaround for now - zoom out to see icons. I've memorized that slavepen is a shackle
It's a giant rift in complexity between Challenging and Hard. I advice all beta-players to give it a try. In first ~20 turns weaker factions a wiped away by roaming monsters, and stronger ones become stronger, by turn 30 they declare warm and by turn 50 you are dead. Player can't really explore around freely, because powerful monsters block fertile areas. Champion's proress is slower, gildar goes to minus faster. All in all, rather
Agree with most of points made. Different trees are OK, it worked fine in GalCiv2. Buildings as requirement for units - I very much agree.
"Kill the dragon" quest - dragon didn't appear in the world after I gave crystals to oldman. "Kill guardian statues" - killed statues, chose to not break the walls. A message appeared like "Now it's time to explore the dungeon", but quest still active with same task, nothing new appeared, questgiving location doesn't react. "Riders compound" - killed first set of enemies, used "escaped" on second wave, then killed them on world map - quest disappeared. "Great earth
Definitely wait. Beta is awesome.
By the way, is it by design that I don't have FE in Impulse client?
What I would be glad to see in final version: 1. Food. What does it do, where does it come from, etc.? Current mechanics stimulate city spamming, I liked idea with houses, food and population in Elemental. In FE, I see buildings that add +N per grain, but where are numbers for food, grain? Also, production on tiles. What does it affect? Where can I see what tiles does a city utilize, what production potential it has? Those icons of grain and hammers put me into a happy droo
Glitches and bugs. I'm playing it on Windows Server 2008 system, so probably my bug reports are not very useful, but still: - Disappearing Lairs after you Build recruiting hut on them. Gone from map and black square on parchment map. Also no drakes in list of trainable units. Same for those snaky things (forgot name), but they eventually appeared in units list and were trained. - After reload of saved game, got all my caravans in Units list. All of them were on
I'll add lists of "what would be nice" and glitches I encountered as replies to this post. First thing I have to say - the game is great! After finishing this post I will start a new game, and will probably play all night long. It has that hook games like Master of Magic or Master of Orion had! Wandering strong monsters - great! No more spawning of auto-levelled annoying horrors. Balanced tactical combat - awesome! Even with current dumb tactical AI outcome of battle
Wisdom in this thread, especially in comparisons to GalCiv2 about missing fun-drivers
> But most people don't realize that what you see in a final game is the result of the compromise of the design to match what the engine can do. Are you not the ones who did the engine? Why was the engine _designed_ this way?
Software developer here. I totally don't understand it, perhaps because of my imperfect english. Did brad say that in development they didn't use approach: 1. Let's develop an engine that can support at least half of the cool features and sophisticated mechanics I have here in this thick golden folder And instead the develop
I completed like two games in 1.07 and postponed it until it's 1.1. Yeah, a lot of enthusiasm died in me. Even more of it died after I discovered Age of Wonders. Separation of attack/damage? Check. Elemental damage/resistance? Check. Dungeons and lairs? Check. Resonable heroes stats and skills? Check. All those things nicely implemented 10+ years ago! I was very very angry at Stardock for its gameplay mechanic decisions after I saw what a M
I don't really understand why they'd take a game that played like a traditional CRPG and decide the sequel would be better as a hack&slash. [...] Consoles can't handle CRPGs so we'll turn it into...an action game?!
Remember Fallout? Now look how good F3 was sold and what an enormous fanbase it has :'(
