DesktopX had been ceased developing a while,so is widgets/gadgets. And I found you personally has hard time express yourself well,maybe with comprehension too.
Turn off any security software first with administrator's rights.
Did you install language packs of Windows?? Or uninstall fonts lately?? Your system may has lost system fonts.
It may be that some third party app interfere file being "iconized".
Technically,no software company can alter MS files legally,what Windowblinds provided is alternative.
Change the color to default from "Settings” >> “Personalization” >> “Colors” tab .
re-apply the default theme from settings>personalization in Win10 will help.
