Well, in this game i had zero dead asteroids and the trade lanes are broken anyway (they don't expand) ? Or is there some secret mechanic behind the whole thing i didn't understand ? (Small Map: 14 Planets) Here is a screenshot, note i have build a Trade Port just everywhere.
My wishlist for SoaSE 2 ,updated graphics (include 2 graphics settings,1 for extreme quality and 1 for low end PCs) and I want the combat to be more dynamic, small ships attempting to dodge heavy weapons etc.Well to get a better understand of what I would realy want:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhZQEvg1V0Y&feature=related
Too bad, Nexus 2 was canceled long ago, what a shame. I have no idea if the engine of Sins could handle all this :p
You can't compare Homeworld and SoaSE. They have very different level of scale and gameplay. Homeworld is to SoaSE as Company of Heroes is to Supreme Commander.
Well, atleast it's better to use Homeworld instead of an MMO aka EvE. Or better yet, just compare it with nothing since SoaSE is the first with such an mix of genres.

- Some sort of a spy system (saboteur, stealing tech (should be expensive), stealing materials and so on) Maybe even add a whole spy-tech-tree - much more anomalies - random events - trade goods/ressources (with small bonuses for your empire) you can find and trade with (i guess the best example for this would be civ4). Just add some random asteriods or small moons with trade goods/ressources (building mines on them), as long you control them you get the bonus for all plane

I just like everything. The only thing i'm missing is some spionage activity, maybe even some spionage tech tree and more depth in the diplomaty window. Well and maybe some ressources with small bonuses you can find throughout the map which you can trade with other empires. But the game rocks anyway :p

The biggest and best features in a turnbased multiplayer game should be simultan movement while playing with an ally. Playing GalCiv2 in a team sounds great. It rocks in Civ4, can't see why it wouldn't in GalCiv2. In other words, adding the multiplayer feature only hurts the budget in most cases, it's a fact, but in general not the overall gameexperience if done right. Civ4 however was a good example of how to NOT do it, like it has been said, no campaign, no serious szena
