Been playing Civ 5 for a few days, I like it but it feels very repetativ. Game after game feels the same, as if I am playing reruns all the time. It does not take long to find a pattern in the research/production, and stick to it. Elemental feels, and gives a more diverse experience in my opinion. Thanks to Sov creation, learning spells, random research and map items, player controlled battles, imbue heros etc etc. Both are good for what they do, but I think Elemental will giv

They have said the story will continue via expansions/patching etc. This game isn't about campaign anyways, it's really just there because people seem to "WANT" it real bad. The game is all about the sandbox mode.
Only 15 HP at level 4? Dear god man! You can get more than that from the very start from just creating a Sov! You sure you didn't mess something up?
Thanks stax77. So strange, I don't get that info at all. I have Gildar % and Tech %, but they do not show.
Is there a way to see what bonuses I selected when leveling a city? Yes. When you choose gildar bonus, then viewing the detailed gildar production report shows the bonus%. Likewise when you chose the tech bonus, then tech production report show it etc.
I don't see it. Could someone supply a screen-shot?
I hope this tread is deleted. All this, and more, has been fully addressed. And people can find comments from Brad and co. all over the forums if people just looked before posting. They never said Elemental would have a map generator did they? I recal a map randomizer, which would randomize the content on the map! The good thing with this is you don't end up with messed up lands. Starting on a small island etc etc.
Janusk scares me. I let him die in my first battle, and he still sends me tips from the grave!!! Be gone demon!!! [e digicons]8C[/e]
LOL, here is my experimental build. And I am surprised just how well things are going! Took all Talents except the 3% one. Took Warlord to start off with sentinels to help me in the start.
I just tested Civ 5 demo. I was inpressed over how solid it felt. You could feel the quality. But then it hit me, like it does every time I play Civ....it's a damn "pop up" game. It holds your hand with popups reminding you of everything. "Excus me, you have something to do here. Oh, joohoo, over here please!". It just ends up being incredibly annoying and insulting.
The current plan with imbues and essence in the 1.1 magic system is that as essence will simply be either-or rather than a number, imbues will have a mana upkeep instead.
Ohhhh, very nice! Thanks! Gave me something to look forward to! Sorry for asking a question 2 times, someone did give me an answer, but I forgot it. Is there a way to see what bonuses I selected when leveling a city?
I went back to Armada 2526 for my turn-based high, what an outstanding game!! And they are working on an expansion! Woohoo!
Great...that's not cool. Will this change once the world mana appears?
Does essence return to your Sov if the champ/hero you have imbued dies?
Really? God this game seriously need a Keymapping/binding option so we can see all functions, and change buttons! How are we supposed to know about stuff like this?????
So the caravans are magically protected and can't be attacked? Some "super" caravan? No.
Could be PLEASE get a quicksave button? It's a pain having to enter the menu and save all the time.
The Hardware mouse is still messed up. I click on one square, and it moves to a totally different one!
I allways took Organized and Adventurer. And exactly that was the problem. Everybody did this because anything else was like creating a sov. with a penalty.
Why? Selecting these traits means you are using your Sov as a unit, and putting it in danger. Pisses me off. Feels like Stardock is forgetting a game is supposed to be FUN, and not a job to play. I can understand strategy, but
+ Organized Sovereign Ability removed WTF? Why? I allways took Organized and Adventurer. The fun of this game i seriously falling into a pit.... I am playing less and less now. Seems like Stardock is focused on making the game way too hard, and are listening to the hardcore gamers here!!
Agree. 15 mana for Multiplayer, 5 for single.
Funny how you guys are calling it a "flop", when this topic points to an article that actually tells you why..... Has NOTHING to do with the game being a failure at all.
+ Teleport/Blink mana cost increased from 5 to 15. THIS pisses me off. Why such a dramatic change? Ruined my fun that's for sure... Is this something we can change ourselves in the game files? If so can someone tell me how?
Was hoping for some UI changes, but all these bug fixes just might make up for it! Great work guys!
Key mappings/binding is a option I am GREATLY missing.
I hate the fact people that buy the book get stuff. I have ALWAYS hated that kind of practice in games. "But this, get a code!" etc etc. I miss the good old days when you bought a game, and EVERYONE had the same.
