I wasn't worried, Stardock always delivers. I am loving the game, and it's also fun to watch it "transform". Shared mana pools? Hell no, please! I fail to see how that could make an improvement! I can understand shared if you are using that spell that allows champions to also cast magic, but not shared as a regular gameplay.

Old or new? New, I have found that King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame is pretty damn fantastic. The company is VERY small (I think around 5-10 ppl), and similar to Stardock they keep updating and adding content. Just an outstanding game. If they had city building it would give Elemental a knock out. Just a shame that Impulse has no multiplayer or the downloadabul content, so I had to buy in from Steam. The complete Baldurs Gate series is j
This is what happens when WoW players enter other games...."Give us this. Make this so..." etc etc, just so they can be MORE powerful. What ever happened to playing a game for the challenge? The uncertainty of wining or losing a game? Gamers today are spoiled with easy games that make them feel like gods. Giving them guaranteed awards etc. Then they come across a game with different directions and solutions, than may or may not win the game, they whine and cry.
I don't see the point of this topic even being made. Just what do you expect to accomplish with it? You expect the developer team to go "Oh no, please! Don't go! We will to EVERYTHING you ask for! Just don't go!"?? These forums are supposed to be Elemental related, if you have off topic things to talk about, like another game, then post in the PC Gaming section!
You can? Sadly, I don't have a mouse with a middle button. Any chance we will get to reassign our own buttons in the future? That way I could of assigned middle mouse button to a key instead.
It might be squares we see, but the units CAN move across via the edges. So in reality we sort of have a octagon, only with a flat top (like a stop sign) its better since we can move straight. So this topic is kinda stupid since we can move as if on a flat top octagon, but we visually see squares.
Frogboy has said that the CPU power is very important to gamespeed. If you have a slower CPU then it'll be a bit slower. Also, ensure nothing is running in the background and that your graphics settings are lower.
He also said he had the game running at 60fps on his little notebook (that have WEAK CPUs), which I now think must be BS because I sure can't get that on my Laptop with 2GHz.
Hey CodeCritter, just FYI. Sems the latest patch fixed my issues.
1. I would very much like to have "tool tips" when resting my pointer over functions in the Options menu (Gameplay/Audio/Video). Some of them are not so obvious as to what they do. 2. I would LOVE to have the ability to have Events shown in FULL TEXT (see pic below) instead of having to rest our pointer to see what happened.
Jesus, I can't even change settings like the sliders, or quit the game. The mouse/click will not react to the buttons. BTW, it really bugs me that our settings are reset after each patch. EDIT: Nope, I can't even enter the game. The mouse does not react to any buttons. I am using hardware mouse, and disabled fullscreen mode if that helps.
octagons
Eh, that will not work, you would end up with something like this: Or this:
I'm running the game on a 64-bit system, no problems so far with the latest patch.
Well, the fact is I don't remember what she said. I saved and quit the game, trusting that the F'ing Quest log would actually keep valuable information, like it has done before this.
How is this misuse? I believe it falls within the Fair Use act. This is someone walking people through Stardocks games. I guess it's a review fan or something.
I am at "step" 188 However, after saving the 3 farms, and going to talk to her I am not given the next step. I do get some dialog, but the quest log is not informing me what to do. It still tells me to talk to her, and I can't interact with her a second time. Any ideas?
Yeah, but they are so few, and far apart they can hardly help you level.
Okay, so I have on City Build Mode Zoom . When I hit Construction it will zoom in an overhead view. If I rightclick or hit "done" it will exit. All is fine. HOWEVER, if I hit Construction two times or more , the camera will move/bump slightly and move back into its default City Build Mode position. And you are now forever stuck in this camera City Build angle looking down at the map until you exit or reload a save.
So me and all my champions etc can only level via combat? I was hoping we could assign people to kingdoms (guard etc), and they "grew/leveled" that way too. Like this one guy I have, he gives bonus to farming/food. I would expect he would level by being placed ON the farm...not out fighting monsters...
My experience has been, if a game has a high learning curve then the better. Pretty much all games I have sat down with and managed to play within a few minutes, end up boring the crap out of me. But now a day with the consoles ruling the gaming market, everyone wants a "dumbed down" game that you can pick up and play like a pro after 2 minutes.

Ah, got it. Thanks man.
I too was gonna ask about food. Anyone have a clue as to how the numbers add up? I still only have +5, but have 100+ people in my kingdom. Does 1 food support 50 people or something?
It's a shame this even has to be said. But I guess it's the politics in it all. Personally my view on Stardock has NOT been diminished at all. On the contrary, seeing their fast response and hard work has nothing but strengthened my respect to an outstanding company. Not to mention the fact they are active on the forums, and do their best to help their customers/fans...something you NEVER see today, on most forums company's have employees that act as
