Its interesting that Nintendo is rolling out an expensive handheld this expensive at the same time as the entire handheld game market is facing serious trouble from gaming on phones. I'm taking a pass on this one. I mostly play my DS on the bus going to/from work, and the 3d flat out won't work in that environment due to the bumps. So it's a drastically more expensive DS to me with worse battery life. Goodie?
You don

If Stardock's Fallen Enchantress goes well, and there are very positive signs that it will, Stardock will have gained something much more important - trust and goodwill in the eyes of many. And they may well, after the lessons they've learned and after the games department gets back in the black, do better then if they'd just cut their losses and run. It's good to be the publisher as well as the developer
Quoting kyogre12, reply 1328 No, it's not the only ship. I posted a pic or two of the Boomer a couple pages back, Colonials will have a new cruiser, and the Thor will be in once I find time to hardpoint it. What about the Guardian Basestar?
Quoting mentalinstra, reply 3Looks like its $250 in the US. It's also regionally restricted, and the games are region locked. If I buy a US Version 3DS, I have to buy US Games. Then I can't play multiplayer with any of my friends who buy an Australian 3DS and Australian games. Blizzard are doing the same thing; their digital purchases cost US$90.00 in Australia and New Zealand.
That's not quite the case. Games are only region locked if the publish

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon a month ago, January 19th, when the US price and release date were finally revealed. I've got a countdown on my computer going until release day[e digicons]:P[/e] . Yes, it is $250 in the US, and yes, that is kind of a lot for a handheld. Even if it didn't have 3D, I would still probably consider it worth it for all the other stuff it brings to the table. Honestly, I think the 3D is a bit of a gimmick, albeit a very cool gimmick. I still

Is that the only ship that has been added since the last release? Have the other ships been textured? Have there been icons added for the various ships? Have there been any changes to the UI since the last update? Has there been any texture update

I don't really like most of the new colonial ones anyway, although there are a couple interesting looking Cylons ones.
Edit: I should probably clarify. If you're unsure, I wouldn't recomend making any decisions just yet. The 3DS is still a month away (unless you're in Japan) and the NGP at the earliest will be out at the end of this year. Personally, I know I will play the 3DS, and that I won't play the NGP, so I pre-ordered a 3DS a month ago when the price and date was announced. Speaking of price, based on past experience, the NGP is most likely going to be pretty expensive. At $250 the 3DS isn't exactly cheap either, but
I beleive there were 7 wizards on the council - white, grey, blue, brown and 3 more that tolkien intentially did not mention so that others could write about them.
There were five wizards; white (Saruman), grey (Gandalf), brown (Radagast), and two blue. According to the Unfinished Tales , the names of the two blue wizards were Alatar and Pallando. They both went into the far East, evidently to help in the war against Sauron in some way, but little else is known

The Smithsonian American Art Museum is doing an exhibit on the art of video games (if you hadn't picked that up from the title[e digicons]:P[/e] ). The exhibit starts in March, but starting today you can vote on which games will be included. They divided video game history into five eras, seperated each era by platform, divided each platform into four genres, and there are three nominations for each genre for each platform (it will make more sense when you look at it, trust me). When they release the patch you can fix it and release it again, in the meantime I can -not- update my game and all will be well. Most mods will probably break on day one of patch release so most mod users (I would hope) would be intelligent enough not to patch on day one. This is just unnecessary and drama inducing for t

I'd like to say I was disappointed by this, but I really can't. After SupCom2, I didn't really have any hope for K&C to be any good. I've watched all of the video blogs, and there are some interesting ideas in there, but I got the sense that K&C would be far more like SupCom2 than SupCom1/FA.

At the end of the day, basebuilding does add great value to strategic gameplay. Maybe a game that focuses on strategy isn't for the author of that blog. If you enjoy tactical elements more, then stick to games that focus heavily on that. Since both are available, it's not a ma
