Currently, if you want to be a mage, you have to spend creation points on elemental spell books; but if you want to be a fighter, you do not have to spend points on weapon choices.
On the other hand, you need more points in movement and other combat stats so that you can rush the mage before he sends a titan and four air elementals at you.

Or it could just be as simple as putting appropriate boni on different gear to make robes and staves or daggers more appealing for a pure spell caster, Leather and various light weapons more appealing for hybrid mage-warriors, and Plate and various heavy weapons more appealing for pure warriors. You don't necessarily need negative effects if the boni are powerful enough to make people want to use certain gear for certain play styles. Could my full platemail, claymore wielding S

Keep in mind that this is version 1.0 of the spell list, and will more than likely be ammended several times before it reaches the point where it's ready for release.

From the OP of the preview of the modding dev journal
Is Modding hard? It depends on how much you want to do. The key tools are included with Elemental. The ability to make a map/level and then load it from your mod and load additional maps/levels in your mod and go back makes it relatively easy for someone to make “dungeons” or have cities be a simple icon that when
I'm certainly gonna buy Civ V and I will probably buy it on Steam
Because obviously with steamworks integrated in, you can use civ5 without steam... Other than Stardock games and software, it's unlikely that you will see many "Impulse exclusive" games or software, simply due to Frogboy's views on monopolies . Sure, games that use Reactor are required to sell on Impulse in addition to whatever other vendor the
I don't have bought yet Elemental, so i can't speak about this game; anyway i'm really concerned about the statement on GC2 lore. I have played GC2 for a lot of years and i can say that from a gameplay perspective it's really superb, and TotA was one of the best expansion released. Anyway one of the weakest point of that game was the lore, civilizations in this game had no personality, technology texts had o

So obviously the photos of people with signs saying teabag the liberal dems before they teabag you are photoshopped or part of an evil liberal plot to discredit the tea partiers. Of course, you probably haven't seen those signs on the propaganda sites you get your information from so I fully expect to get shit rained down upon me.

You see, I distinctly remember a series of youtube videos a while back calling for people to send teabags to their representitives, so I can see where the "teabagger" is coming from. Could something better have been chosen? Sure, but then again instead of getting your panties in a twist every time someone uses teabagger, you could, you know, do a little research and see if there's a viable non-sexual reason for the title. Of course that would require you to actually expand your viewpoint

I'd be interested in hearing some of the answers to #9, assuming of course that they don't completely reject all of modern science, and don't fall back on the standard "well it looks old because thats how he made it" excuse.
Seems like a lot of work to essentially just remake GalCiv2. It would probably be easier to just make a GalCiv2 mod and tweak a few things to your liking as that game already has everything you are asking for. It's not like it's an old game or isn't mod friendly.
It's still a lot of work, and the GalCiv2 engine doesn't have the capabilities the elemental engine will.

Well, you have the right to stage a revolution, but before you do that, you might want to make sure you have a sufficient supply of anti-tank weaponry, because I can guarentee you that the federal government will have no problem driving a tank through your house in the process of grinding your state into submission. You might want some AA weapons too, unless you manage to get an entire air force base on your side along with the planes, pilots, and maintenence crews that go with it. Then you r
