There was funny comic of nanomachines running out of IPV6 addresses when they ate only 1/4 of earth. Couldn't find it again so... drat.
That would probably be the XKCD from last friday.

I think it fires a missile equipped with an FTL drive from a railgun. Of course if this existed in real life, and was used on Earth, the ecosystem would collapse due to the enormous impact crater, or the planet would just have a massive hole running through it, depending on the impact speed. Either way, we wouldn't be having a very good day.

See lula, this is why ignoring science is bad for you. I have never said in any of my posts that hitting the carrying capacity is a "bad thing". But when you do hit it, if you do not have any natural predators you have to reduce the birth rate to roughly match the death rate. Keep in mind that every herbivorous terrestrial life form's carrying capacity is dependent on every other lifeform in the area. If you run out of plants the herbivores die off, resulting in a drastic decrease i

So tell me, do you all really want to hit the carrying capacity of the planet in your life time (if we haven't already hit it)? If so, do you support returning to the pre industrial age in order to ensure enough food? Otherwise, you'll need to explain what natural predators humans have that are common enough to warrant having dozens of children. Or do you expect that we will have a war with china or india in the next 50 years? Perhaps if we colonize another planet or the moon and have ch

@kaiapo On the other hand, considering that those were developed by Stardock there should be no reason to assume that they would be on another site. Similarly, you won't find any of the half-life games ending up outside of steam. When a DRM system offered up for free locks down a third party game to a single DD system, that is anticompetitive behavior.

Of course there are more apps for the Iphone, considering its been out for 3.5 years now, compared to the less than 2 for the android OS, and that for most of the comparative lifetime, it's been iOS devices with the lion's share of the market, making developing apps for them more profitable.

I'm fine with the money's use, but if he could get away with it, I'm sure that beck would have tried to take it all for himself. If you can honestly say that you think that he just gave out of the goodness of his heart, you're just as nuts as you claim I am. And of course, if the big companies would grow a pair and just hire qualified people, we wouldn't be in this mess. Of course that would mean their cries that obama is bad for business would be completely unfounded. Sure in th

No, but considering that the picture appears to be from the inside of a church I think it's safe to assume that the left's fringe is smaller than the right's.
Yep, just a bunch of fringe lunatics, right? Hundreds of thousands of people attended.
Even if it's the most estimated (five hundred thousand by NBC, six hundred and fifty thousand by beck) you still only have anywhere between one sixth of one percent of the total population of the United States and one fifth of one percent of the total population of the United States, which in the grand scheme of things, is a negligible blip on the screen

You might have issues if you only have 2GB of ram. I'm not completely sure, but I think vista eats up most of that on its own, and the minimum system requirements say you should have at least 1 GB free.

not sure what it's called in your game, as the names seem to be randomly generated (even though they are all mentioned by the lore's names during the quests) but if that's the city that you went to earlier for markin then yes. The only other thing I can think of would be not having your ships at the beach nearby. If you possibly missed the update that he has few troops to offer but plenty of resources, check the campaign tab in kingdom report section, it should say so

Did you move a unit near his city? The tarth city is close enough to shore that just unloading a unit alerts them, but markin is far enough away that you have to do some walking. If you have moved a unit nearby the city and it still doesnt work, try saving, turning the game off, and then loading. After that not sure what else you can try, as I never ran into that issue.

You need to go to the wreckage of your ship (should be near where you started at. just go towards the start point while staing on the side of the mountains you're on now) and get the waterlogged map from it. Take that back to Lord Markin and he'll open the way to Tarth

I think it's planned for you to do that, but it's so ludicrously expensive and time consuming that you won't ever see one except in massive, many-galaxy games.

It's planned, but Brad's taking some time off to tinker with the AI in Elemental, and I think they have a few other things in the pipes before GC3, but I remember reading somewhere in the labryinth that is stardocks forums that they have minor amounts of plot developed for it but, other than that, I don't think its any farther along than a twinkle in Brad's eye yet.
1) No 2) That is not modable at this time; this may become modable post-release.
Ok, I didn't think so, just a thought I had about possibly having a scenario based on the start of the colonization of the solar system, but I suppose it could be pushed out to late colonization and early conflicts pre-ftl.

Looks interesting, but I have a few questions 1) is it possible to have multiple civilizations occupying the same planet 2) if not, would it be possible to mod that functionality in?
oh and one last thing...I don't hate Muslims
If you actually read and understood, you would have seen the word apparant. If this had been to any other group, exept maybe the LGBT community, you wouldn't have said a word, but, because it was the muslims, you got all torqued off as noted in this quote.
I'd say the Muslims are in the hateful business these days not the Christians.
But of course you aren't anti-muslim at all. S
