If you wish to carry on a Dota vs. Demigod discussion ad nauseum please find another forum. The issue has been debated endlessly here for months already. Some people who like Dota will like Demigod. Some people who like Dota won't like Demigod. And vice versa.
It is unfortunate that a representative of Stardock is incapable of fully appreciating the situation and chooses instead to ask paying customers to stop talking abou

The argument that people simply 'do not care' seems a little transparent. Indeed, people seem to care rather a lot.

Quoting it is generally a good start. I assume you are referring to this title as proof that Demigod is not the first attempt to monetise the push-map genre. Sadly, si

GPG in particular, has a poor history of supporting their products after release. Supreme Commander is a prime example of th

If one is looking to provoke an emotional and irrational response, then logic is the perfect weapon. There is little more frustrating to those who let their emotions drive their communication on the internet, as someone who exhibits none.

I know the freshman english teacher at your highschool heaps praise on you for smothering every little phrase in adjectives, but that's not how real writers write. Your tone makes you sound like there's a greased flop of black hair over your left eye and a bunch of razor scars

WAR3's orginal game did not have that potiential for a good competition, DoTA supplied it better then the actual game. You say millions play DoTA but let me ask you this. How many still actually play the original game in comparison and how many of them play both? I'l guess (that's all I can do on the information given thus far) more people play DoTA or only

Over the next few days, expect a flood of chatter from DoTA/Tower-push map WC3 players. As one of those, and having followed and pre-ordered Demigod before the beta, allow me to pre-empt some of what you're going to hear. You are going to get these comparisons because Demigod is the first attempt to monetise a genre that has previously only existed in user-created custom maps. Similar to the attempts to monetise the tower-defense genre with games like Defense Grid and the upcomi

After registering the game on my account and attempting to install, I relogged in to find the the game had disappeared from my account again. Repeated attempts to install have resulted in the same problem. Is it anything to do with the fact that I registered this particular title under a different email address to my actual account? If so, can this be remedied? Also, Impulse itself claims 'one or more problems while updating' upon installation. Perhaps that might have something to do

Pax Imperia 2 was a great game in many respects (shame the multiplayer was so buggy otherwise I'd still be playing it today). Ship design was fantastic, as were defenses (could take a cue from those guys Ironclad..). However, the game did not have real-time battles as such, it slowed down the entire game in order to do the battle sequences. It's diplomacy was awful (though Sins' isn't much better), the UI was clumsy in places. Regardless, a good title, ahead of it's time and

Expecting a developer to guarantee that you will personally like the game is about as naive as you can possibly get. Sorry fella. The resources were available to you to find out everything there is to know about the game short of playing it. Despite that, you bought a game that you clearly had very little chance of enjoying, and now you want your money back. How about no. Take some responsibility for your own actions, quit blaming everyone else, and use some judgment next time
