Hey, guys. You know how when you shutdown, sometimes you get those special updates that only install when you turn off the computer? Is there any way how to install those updates without actually turning it off? I'm trying to see how long I can keep my computer on without crashing (so far I'm up to 300 hours) and it's still running great, i see no point in dealing with the "install updates now" dialog boxes.

I used FuzzyLogic's link to the testing site. I don't know how this is possible but everything that I tested came up absolutely perfect. the only thing that I'm using to defend myself is AVG free edition, Windows Defender and the Default Windows Firewall. Is it possible to "overdo" security because I'm using all free stuff and I'm getting perfect protection.... Oh, I'm also using CyuberSitter which is annoying parental control software that my dad put on my computer. I don't think that would
No ! weird would be if windows acted as we would like it too
Nice. One thing you could do as a last resort is to save your current dock, uninstall and reinstall. if you have plus this will be a real pain because you have to reorder but... if your really have to you could. One thing that might work is to quit OD, move the OD folder (C:\Program Files blah blah blah) to like the desktop or something (before you do this uncheck "load at startup" in the OD settings) reboot
This is why you memorize passwords instead of saving them on your system
Yeah, exactly. although that totally sucks that that happened to you. ~I love Fuzzy Logic's icon. Spock! wow, I'm a nerd. although that was on last night anyhoo..... yeah, vista is full of holes. what you have does make you significantly more secure but I'm bias and I say just get a mac. oh wait, no stardock stuff for Mac. um..... stardock should make stuff for mac, that'd b

Yeah, it was bumpy at first but all the "bugs" are out now, it works fine. xp themes work great. and like metal said, there are 2 versions. you only need the free version, though unless you like trails and excessive shadow and stuff of the like

This is a question for you AOL users out there. I love their email because it's free, unlimited storage and there's an IMAP server. the only real annoyance is when you send an attachment using outlook (or Windows Live mail which is what I use) it always gets corrupted!?!?!?!!!!!!! Do you guys have the same problem? It's really annoying, I feel like a moron using yousendit to send like a half meg zip file. There's probably a plugin for Thunderbird somewhere but I haven't found any fixes yet.
As for me being harsh. Yea, I have little patience with unreasonable behavior. Someone ranting in the ThinkDesk forum about MyColors in public over and over is not going to get much sympathy from me. That's why they keep me away from tech support (I've had customers literally tell me they hope I get cancer). But when you begin to post diatribes in a public forum, I see it.
I can respect that. I'm sure it's very frustrating having everyone breathing down your back while
Denise, I am contacting sales on your behalf to issue you a refund. Hopefully you can be happy and go away. Some of you guys seem to be under the illusion that your purchase entitles you to be insulting and to us. Let me be the first to break that illusion: Any of you guys who think you're being treated unfairly or don't like our service or think our sotware is buggy should, by all means, ask for refunds right now. [email protected]. Once you do this, please go
