it says that object desktop supports 64 bit vista, this is not entirely true, it does not support icon packager, or a few others, i wish these people would tell the whole truth not just the bit thats appealing, they are like polititions only telling the truth on the bits they want you to know, and even their own team they have conflicting views on what supports what on vista.

you are all forgetting one small itsy bitsy thing, i cannot at present access any programmes from object desktop, except the ones i have just recently put on my desktop, ( through sdc that is )

afraid you are mistaken, am on vista 64 bit oem system builder home premium version. found out that by using the start menu the parts of object desktop that are there do work, i even get the windows fx up, and the desktopx never done that before, message use to come up not working closing programme, so thats a bonus, question is how do i get the different programmes onto the start menu, do not know how the ones that are on the start menu, got there, there are 4 of them at present, would like at

thanks bdbf always the obvious that you miss, it could be i have been downloading an older version of object desktop, come to think of it i never saw anywhere that the download i was installing had vista on the label, will check on this, did have a strange feeling about my installation of od, but couldnt put my finger on it, now i have, cheers mate.

hi guys, out of 29 appliances; 3 are working, wb6, bitmaps, and od prem. suites. 3 cannot install, because of computer not recognising am on vista, the rest will not run at all but message says they have been installed successfully, at least wb6 is working. any sensible suggestions appreciated. oh, by the way my stepson did flash the bios, would that be the difference and the problem.

computer crashed, had to reinstall windows, and found when i reinstalled sdc and tried to install object desktop, could not access any of the od, except bitmaps. removed, then reinstalled again the sdc, tried again and tried to install logon studio, it said you need vista or above, i had removed all the stardock programmes, before this. comprendi. kimo sabbee. f.y.i. straight jackets are not used anymore, but then when in america, who knows.

is it tomorrow that the new od 2008 come out, up to date info. i had to reinstall widows 64 bit vista os now it wont recognise that it is vista says that you have to have vista or above to install some of the od, still cant get into any of the object desktop, just the bitmap, thats the only one. can anyone help.

hankers have already done what you suggested up to the point of short of that. thanks guys for the quips, had a good laugh, cheered me up. my activations have now been reached would this stop me launching any of od, am waiting for a reset. i know it does for wb6, dont know for the rest of od.

birchur, nope that didnt work, anything else i can try.what is the sdc version 2.54.520.am getting some wierd things coming up like every utility is displayed twice. alsogetting message to start in sdc or something else. am getting really peeved about this stardock takes flipping ages to respond, feel like banging my head against a brick wall, its unlikely i will renew my membership, wish i could ask for my money back. am now getting message that i neeed windows vista or above to install, wouldn

got the message that sdc was updating, let it update then i clicked on wb6, would not launch, then tried all the other utilities and the same thing except bitmap, all of them would not launch, no message or anything else, just nothing. did however cancelled the update and everything worked fine, only when sdc asked for itself to be updated, it then would not let me into any of the object desktop utilities, so it is the latest update, i now cannot cancell the update and am stuck with the updated

got a message to update sdc, clicked to update, update complete, then went back into od and found i could not get anything to work, clicked on at least 10 of od and nothing happens not a twitch, or a message, nothing.
