I like kicking ass and eating carrots...and I'm all out of carrots...

and the evil aliens killing the Vasari...PINK SPACE PONIES
*Shoots psychoak and takes nuke* Sweet! I always wanted one of these.
Ah ok, now that I've seen the site I get it. The name of the movie is just a coincidence. It's about aliens invading Earth. Phew! That puts my mind at ease. But here's my cast idea for Sins: The Movie. Multi is the commander of the TEC and is the protagonist and will blow lots of things up. Schod is the malevolent leader of the Vasari and he will eat human babies. TGE is the aloof, but evil leader of the Advent and he will be a New York Yankees fan (can you th
A HW movie? What is wrong with Hollywood these days? Can't they see their ruining our beloved memories of games by scaring our brains with what they speciously call "movies" based on those games? First Doom, the Hitman, now they spread their evil to the RTS genre? In like 5 years will we being seing a Sins movie too (with Multi as the protagonist, Schod as the evil villian, and lord kosc as the Jar Jar Binks character)? Do movie producers have no limits to their malevolence?
Multi I have to thank you for the gameplay videos. Those basically sealed the deal so I pre-ordered and now I am a galactic conqueror! (against the ai anyways) I was already interested in this game (why I was browsing the forums i nthe first place), but I must say my first bombarding of a planet was orgasmic. Thanks!
Indeed, babies are so delicious!
If its a laser it'll travel at the speed of light and you won't see it moving. Just like how you turn on a flashlight and it appears to instantaneously hit a far away wall, so too would the laser hit the ship nearly instantaneously. To have an effect with say a half second travel time between the firing ship and its target you'd need to be firing from half a light second away. Half a light second is 149,896.229 kilometers or 93,141.1985 miles distant to the target. For comparasion, the diameter
Scewed statistics, we have more people now then we did in 1972.
Actually I didn't phrase that correctly. A higher PERCENTAGE of people voted in the last mid-term election than any mid-term election that 1972. Happy?
The force is strong in TGE.
Well I can see Schod's response now...and it ain't gonna be pretty. As for mine, George Carlin is a cynical bastard (and I say that while absolutely loving his comedy), but to a degree he's right. All canidates are dependent on cash for their campaigns. Where does most of that money come from? Political Action Committees (PACs). Who forms and finances PACs? Corporations. Of course, America has been in this situation before and com
I must say that ship looks nasty (as in good)! When is NASA going to replacing the shuttle with these?
*fries emp with his high kelvin IQ*
Ha! I am spreading the doctrine of kelvinism! Soon everyone will follow this religion(/method-of-temperature-measurement) and I will rule the world!
What kind of cookies are we talking about? I mean, gingerbread cookies are worth killing over but something like a sugar cookie? Not so much. Oh and Annatar, I'd leave eet's ice cream alone...you don't know where its been. It may look like vanilla...but it was originally choclate...
You're right schod...the frozen over hell I live in has a room temperature of the freezing point of water...which in kelvins is 273 degree.
Celsius....while my IQ is 1 point higher than room temperature...IN KELVINS!
These are the sins that will allow me to destroy your empires! (when I finally buy the game that is)
The Vasari are running from something related to how their empire was formed, they were more or less conquerers and enslavers, and the game is called 'Sins' of a Solar Empire, they are easily the empire in mind IMO, and thus their sins are being punished by the mysterious insanity/blackout wave.
Don't forget the TEC being punished for its sin of intolerance against the advent. That's two out the three empires being punished. The Advent was already punished by being exiled
Just to warn you guys...I'd give up trying to argue with Schod...he's immune to logic. One thing I don't get is this. How did Scod come up with the idea that if you put a solar power plant in space it'd be cheaper than having one on Earth? Not only is there the significant cost of getting it up there, but you'll still need to build ground-based receiving plants. Furthermore, performing maintenence in space is far more exspensive than ground-based maintenence. I'm sure Schod wil
I will admit, Europe has a broad, tasty cuisine where America can only really lay claim to bar-b-que (which can be really good) and most of the rest is from Europe. However, for you Brits...we saved you twice. For you Danes and Austrians, we saved you once (and for the Austrians in the house, breaking up Austria-Hungary was Britain and France's idea don't blame us...unless you don't mind the empire's break-up in which case it was all Wilson and we'll be happy to take credit <img src="smiles/Coo
I've got a book idea but I'm not going to be doing anything with it for quite a while at least (being a freshman workign your way through college doesn't leave a ton of free time to write). It would be a sort of philosophical comedy book (though not sci-fi so I'm not going to just being copying the late, great Douglas Adams). The basic outline is this, God is bored. He creates the universe and angels who have no free will. God amuses himself for a few eons with this but again grows bored. Satan,
Your description of incarceration holds for low security (and maybe some medium security) prisons. However, maximum and super-maximum security prisons (where we put most of our murderers, rapists, and the like) are no pinic. Definitely no TV, one hour outside the cell a day, a small maybe 8x4 cell, and oh yea, being raped by other prisoners (common in medium security facilities as well). If you commit a white collar crime, you go to a low security prison and life isn't too bad (you are still con
Going on more creative guesses from what the Vasari are running from...I say there's not running from anything real. Here's a twist. Imagine that a computer virus was shutting down all Vasari communications and was "chasing" the Vasari through the last communication burst of each probe (the virus then gets inbedded in the next probe but takes time to shut it's communications down). In this scenario, the Vasari still have a huge empire, the Dark Fleet just didn't get to this branch of the Vasari
ARGH! The constant elipses...are...driving...me...insane!
*begins to worship Multi* All the ships...it's...so...COOL! P.S.: Those are tears of joy...I so want this game now... Edit: I do know you can't get nearly that many ships in the regular game...but in a mod I could
