Multiplicity: Error Code -205 in Accounts and Activation Help Stardock Forums

I recently got a new computer, and wanted to put my Multiplicity 3 KM on the old one, and my Multiplicity 3 KVM Pro license on my new one. I deactivated the old one, and then went to activate my new one, but it says that the license is still in use, and when it goes to deactivate it, it gives me error -205 and unable to deactivate Multiplicity. How do I correct this?

I have a suggestion of something that would be very useful, especially for browser based software- the ability to specify applications that show up based on Window Title (with some sort of RegEx mechanism or something similar)

I have the Sony UX, which is about the same size as the OQO model 02, but with a 1024x600 native resolution, and I love it. I just wish the hard drive was bigger. But I use it at home for my media pc in my office, docked to a 500gb hd and a DVD player, and it works fabulously. Are you actually in the game when it happens? Or does it happen when you're just at the login screen? I have the game, but I don't have two accounts, so if it only happens when you're in the game I can't help... but if the login screen will do it, I'll try just to see if it's just something with your machine. Well, I uninstalled the application and all stardock applications, rebooted, and reinstalled, then rebooted again. It now works- and hopefully won't stop working again. Not really sure what was wrong, but just glad it works! Thanks for all the help!

I might have stumbled onto the problem. I ran troubleshooting on the secondary, and I received the following errors: Multiplicity Paths are NOT set correctly Multiplicity Winlogon dll is NOT running Winlogon dll has FAILED testing What does this mean? Could this be the problem? If so, how do I fix it? Thanks!

I've done that, and it doesn't help. This has actually always happened, thinking back- it's just that it used to be if I rebooted one machine or the other (or rarely both), they would begin to see each other, so I never worried about it. But now, that doesn't work...

The B appeared after a second or so, then the message connection to host lost. I have no connection password on- in fact, I have no security on at all. Yes, the machine is set up in the seamless dialog. Now that you mention password, when I first installed it, it did say something about a password, but I checked to make sure there was no password set, and there was none. If I telnet from the secondary to the primary, I get a response MULTIPLICITYPB. I get no response from the primary to the secondary. Both are version 1.05 of multiplicity, and both use port 30564. I have turned off all security to test. The service is pointed to C:\PROGRA~1\Stardock\THINKD~1\MULTIP~1\MULTIS~2.EXE which is where it is installed, and the service is started. Thoughts?

I'm having a similar problem. My machines would connect fine, but then I reinstalled the OS on the slave machine, and reinstalled multiplicity. I've rebooted several times, but still it won't work. There is no firewall enabled, though I do have the lookup IP on since my IP addys are dynamic. I've tried it with and without security on, I can ping and do everything else between computers. Actually, have you ever played with NextStart? It has *many* more possibilities than object bar. A menu on a click, hotspots to launch menus/applications, the now ubiquitous bar. Not to take anything away from objectbar. It is very good for what it does... being a bar. One last thing- NextStart plays very well with the OS.
