I'm only guessing, but if you open Stardock's "Theme Manager" or "My Colors" I bet you'll be able to download it and apply it. A free version of "My Colors" is available through Impulse
I have briefly tried RTS games, but I never really learned them because I hate to be rushed. I love RPGs and space sims, though, and I am determined to learn this, although I have no idea what I am doing so far! ANY help is appreciated!
Then this is the game for you. Eventually you will play at a level where the AI can beat you. When in a space battle watch the screen at the bottom closely. It will show you what type o
- When I have given an order to a spaceship to move to some distant square and it is on "autopilot", the next turn (initiated by pressing "enter") after I gave the order nothing seems to happen to that spaceship. Only when I press "enter" *again*, the spaceship will move, apparently still in the same turn in which it seemed to be stalled, and then the game immediately with no pause continues to the following turn. This seems only to be the case in the first tu

After some months I have tried once again from scratch to reload Impulse. I have tried every variation and trick; turned off firewall, virus scanner, tried in safe mode, redownloaded install, went to work for a double shift while it tried. This thing will not even load onto my computer. The install stops at the configuring step. It goes no further, it will not cancel, end process -- doesn't, I can't even restart -- I have to reset. If this will be the only vehicle to purchase Stardock
If you can elaborate on this a bit more i could probably use it in the guide!
Simply put: set game to allow tech trading and chose the option with 8 minor civs. Don't make enemies with the minors early on, instead trade each tech you learn to them, one at a time, for as much money as they'll pay. As your economy improves you can reduce your trading with the minors, who will fall behind in tech; and then you can start back up if tough times return. This seems to

As I stated earlier, I tried to install with the firewall off. In fact the first time I tried to install I had my firewall on and it queried me and I clicked my always allow; but since that app failed I disabled the firewall the next time I tried. I have net 1, 1.1, 2.0, 2.0.50727,and 3.0. I tried again and again it just sits there. And it prevents me from using the internet. Think I'll delete the .exe and reload, perhaps it's corrupted.

I am unable to install Impulse. The exe starts, tells me it will take a couple of minutes and just hangs -- it also prevents ie from working while stuck in this mode. My firewall is off and I've let it sit trying to start for over 20 minutes. I get frustrated and reboot. <FONT face=Tahoma,A

The clock option is on the interface menu below the choice of what file type to save screen shots. Oddly it did not appear as option on the menu until I entered a game, but it now appears on the options menu directly from the main menu screen.
Over all, I don't see the Jagged Knife as that bad. ::watches for the lightning bolt to hit::
Well a fully synchronized phase cannon bolt anyway. WIllthemailboy's comment is part of what I mean. It's an annoyance that can be a fun stealing mega event. My response is to hurl as many lightning bolts at them as I can.

Yeah,if you've played any kind of strategy game before Normal should be your starting point with the quick bumb to Challenging. Even those will allow you to pursue a "peaceful strategy" if you don't opt for the: always take the evil choice in a goodie-goodie galaxy. The Terran's super is diplomacy so that helped you. Plus you get to spend points at the start of the game, maybe you added to this skill. First few games you should pick economic, it'll help.
Don't get me wrong, I think that the Jagged Knife is a PITB, but it is a Mega event. I don't see them any more or less of a pain than any other. And if you want to draw a parallel to another game mechanic, what about planets defecting to another civilization? That is free and potentially just as damaging.I guess I respect your not liking the event but I don't personally see it as game breaking the way you do.
At least with defections you can build special buildings and in

I like the idea of mega events, but I just hate the Jagged Knife. I find it so aesthetically unappealing. The Pirates have to actually destroy your starbases and freighters. The Dread Lords must take your worlds. The Knife just get them for free -- often taking many of your special buildings. Don't get me wrong, I know how to use the event. I almost always trade for what I can and then immediately begin a campaign of reconquest that usually nets me my worlds and some others. In fact

What I have to offer is not so much a strategy but a little simple idea to help new ToA players adjust to the more difficult economics. As a "crutch" I play with tech trading and 8 minor civs. This allows for a little more income by trading techs to these civs. I have found this greatly reduces my "red" income situations.

Josh Wheldon has said he'd like to do something with the Firefly/Serenity universe again but with new characters as he has completed their storyarc. But I wonder if that's so -- since he seems to be the kind that loves to create new things; I hope he does though.
Most supporters of the death penaty want it for all the wrong reasons... reasons motivated purely by revenge, to them state sanctioned execution is no more than a vicarious method of taking out their own agression on that person who ha upset their and societies sensibilities.
This is NOT a Flame: but most people against the death penalty presume to have some moral high ground. Oh I thought of a second thing. When trading, if I want to "top off" the trade with money the slider automatically goes to the max the AI is willing to give. Could you please do the same for influence?
