This micromanaging of ships is no fun. It wasn't like this at release, autoattack worked to some degree then. Any chance of K working again in the future, or do you plan to make all ship commands last for a duration of 1 turn? I asked this before but I can't seem to find the post, I think you deleted it in the move to this new website. Thanks

Hello, In the beginning of this game, before many patches, ship orders used to be persistent. I'm thoroughly confused at them now. I keep having to reissue guard and sentry. Hell I don't even know the difference between them. When I toggle autoattack, NOTHING happens under my ship, like it used to. It used to say autoattack onder the ship. If I hit autoattack if flies to the nearest star base and parkes there.. HMMM! Or it flies to the nearest plantet and bonzai suicides into
Thanks for clearing up the initiative info. Some space sims, give the faster ship/fleet, initiative. Good info. I'm not voting for AI improvements. I just think its a little odd, my ship/fleet set to guard, ontop of a space station, I own, doesn't guard anything. The enemy AI actually just goes right for the space station, right thru my ships/fleet set to guard... So isn't the 'guard' feature sorta borked. I know 'autoattack' is borked. I'm trying to figure out the di

Hey trolls, ES&D! Reload doesn't do anything. I waited. I waited some more. I tried smashing Enter. But you know what I didn't try, and what wasn't mentioned. Toggling that autoturn option off/on. I'll tell ya what I think. The patch ruined the saved game. I like how it put itself in the Startup menu, without asking. This patcher couldn't just patch.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It has to mess up things and make me reboot. Poor!
I'm glad this was confirmed, by more than two sensible posters. Autoattack used to find enemies like Survey found anomalies. When game first came out, it did, anyway. Then they patched it. Autoattack took ship to the location of where an enemy was at the time K was issued then toggle itself off. Now it just doesn't work, at all. Why are you making the game worse? Instead of 150 thinking captains flying 150 ships, I have 150 dumbwaiters.
Well it is searchable I see, now. I found the search link here on the page down here on the side. Sorry. This site is as horrible as the efile IRS site. I tried to edit the damn thread but the damn forum just doulbe posted it. So I tried to remove the post and there is no way to do that. This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating. I can't believe I paid for this horse crap.
Back when I first installed and played game, auto attack(k) seemed to last for quite some time, and to verify it, the word, 'attack' appeared under the squadron, what ever happened to that? K needs remashing each damn turn, its really a game breaking change for the worse. Do you plan to fix K or just let auto attack, do nothing. I noticed Guard and Sentry, no longer appears under my fleets when I set that either. Why are you making the game WORSE for us?
Hello, I am trying to play a saved game. I can't play it anymore because the damn TURN button is has vanished. That's right, its gone. I have 150+ ships flying around, and I went down the list and made sure each and EVERY ship I control has advanced, and didn't have anymore moves, you know 0/0. Please send the fix if you have one, for this to [email protected], as I'm not scrolling through this forum for the answer. Thank, RingA

Ship issued commands, like Guard and Sentry, need to last longer than one turn. I'd go so far as to say that they need to follow their orders until they are given new orders. I never told them to stop guarding, so put that check back in there list of commands, until I retard it.
