Snarph, I guess it depends on where you want to relocate to in North Carolina. Up by Raleigh/Durham or over in Charlotte it is beautiful. Now if you want to come down to the little area that I live in that is a different story. I've been stationed on and off, in Eastern North Carolina for about 19 years, and there is not a lot there except forests and swamps and 100 Billion mosquitos. It realy depends on where you want to go, and I guess that is about the same anywhere. If you let

I have to agree with Crae, where has the last two years gone? It seems like such a short while ago when the doors were thrown open. Gongrats to all who have made this Site a Home!!!!!
I was in Thailand and the Phillipines last month and I think that I heard "The Ketchup Song" by Las Ketchup 3 million times. I was in the mall in Kurat Tailand one day and I swear I heard it allmost continiously coming out of different stores for 2 hours. I thought I had escaped when I got to Manila..... wrong..... It followed me!!!! I'm wearing earplugs here in Japan to keep it from following me......
I have stayed out of this up until now, because I am biased because of my Job. As some of the folks here already know I'm a U.S. Marine and because of that, my view is a little off of the norm. Now that being said, I'm sitting on my butt in southern Japan, wishing that I was with old friends in Saudi Arabia. Why you might ask, because I'm and Evil War monger... Nope, Because I think War is great..... Nope, Because of the People..... Yep. I'm not only referring to my fellow service men, but the p
Got it, Absolutely wonderful theme!! Great Job Alex and Paul, and Treetog!!!!!!
Still waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, BMT charged my account, waiting, waiting, time for bed maybe in the morning...... Hope......
I just got done downloading it it is about 8.8 Meg, and well worth it.... even on a dialup.

Grrrrr "Selectct" = "Select"
I'm not sure if this will work or not, but in this case it might be worth a try. Download and install Logonstudio https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/download.html then selectct restore XP defaults. The button is on the bottom left of center. It might work for you and save you a re-install of XP. Like I said it may or may not work. Chris <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" borde
Creed - Is this the End
I have been running GalCiv on my LapTop since the first Beta's and the improvement is remarkable. My LapTop is a PIII-650 with 320Meg of Ram with 8Meg for Video ans XPpro. All of the Video's run fine with no choppy except for the Doors Opening in the first screen. I haven't played a Gigantic lately but on the huge game that I played last night the only time the turns took more than a couple of seconds where when there were multiple events happening all at once (Ship Movement, Project Completion,
Klaus, What you might be talking about is the Dregin Network which like Object Desktop, has a yearly subscription fee. But for that Fee you get everything that is released during that year. Dregin handles all of Stardocks Games and Object Desktop handles all of Stardocks Applications. In my own humble opinion they are both worth every penney. Chris
I'm not sure if these have gotten reported yet, but here it goes. 1) If a planet completes a project social or military on the same turn as it gets taken over, the planet screen comes up with the new owners information. It shows all of the new owners Icons, and ship pictures. I guess the bug would be not so much that it show up, but that you can change the projects that are being worked on. 2) The Dregin never seemed to be able to make up their minds on peace or war in the last
Only 5 at the moment, Component Tray, Volume, Active Sync, Remove Hardware, and Dial up networking. I try and kill anything that trys to live in the try that I don't use constantly.
I couldn't agree more, I sure that a large number of us would have picked that one
I have finally had some time to sit and play a whole game, and sometime around mid game just got done with a minor war with the Yor (Started by a random event) and all of a sudden I was at the end game screen and it said that I had suffered a military defeat. I exited the game and restored last civ and within 3 turns I was right back at the end game. I can send the save game if someone wants it. Chris
The only small thing that I saw wrong with the results is that the Agnostics and the Atheists were lumped together into one package. They are by definition complete opposites. In the end no matter what religion that you choose to believe it in the end at this time of year it is all about Family and Friends.
Paxx, I was fairly sure that the idea had been brought up before, since we have rehashed this so many times in the past. If I remember correctly it was one of the very first heated debates that was had on this message board. It almost seems to be on a set schedule to rear it's ugly head about once every six months. I rate skins that I like and I will admit that I have never been one to rate a skin very low in 99 percent of the cases because I can see the effort that goes into the wo
After reading my post again and noticing all of the typo's that I missed, please don't rate my above post to harshly Darn I must be tired since I even used ieSpell Have a great night all. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.
Since this seems to be the thread topic of choice today, I might as well through in my two cents. I think that the biggest problem with the rating system is that you have no idea who put the rating there, be it good or bad. If the data base can remember every skin that I have ever rated. How much of a leap would it be to code s show ratings link that would show who rated the skin and what each person rated that skin. It might, and only might cut down on the just plain mean ratings. I have no ide
Nope... NT, ME, 98, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro and last but not least even though it's not supported 95. I think that the only version that you don't have a chance of getting Windowblinds to run on is 3.11 Hope that this has helped!!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by S
With this latest build I can't seem to figure out how to hold on to my planets. They keep jumping ship to the most powerfull race. I get a message that the people of planet XYZ are starting to admire Race ABC and that I should look in to it. Ok, I've tried everything that I can think of and they still keep jumping over. I even lost Sol to this and that ended the game. Not Fun, anyone got any suggestions???
