Why did I Loose?

I have finally had some time to sit and play a whole game, and sometime around mid game just got done with a minor war with the Yor (Started by a random event) and all of a sudden I was at the end game screen and it said that I had suffered a military defeat. I exited the game and restored last civ and within 3 turns I was right back at the end game. I can send the save game if someone wants it.
