It would be interesting to see: 1. Persistent and coupled reputation among other starfaring civilizations (the GC equivalent would be having good diplomatic relations with the Torian may make it harder with a Drengin). 2. The ability to win using "evil" genocidal or enslavement methods like the Hierarchy rather than just the Unite The Galaxy like the Alliance. This may necessitate two different factions to win with. I want to win the Dread Lord way as w

I hope that the next game follows more of a Carmack philosophy ( "when it's done" ) rather than a Nadella one ( "that enterprise release bricked your system? Software Assurance helps"). This game was released in an obvious beta condition that could have been more polished especially for main campaign issues. And before someone says Duke Nukem Forever or Star Citizen, Stardock and Frogboy don't have venture capitalist money to burn and are very financially incen
Well, the original reason I got to know Stardock (and still have a current license) was through Object Desktop, which is a subscription model (because Microsoft just can't seem to build certain essential functionality into their system like a decent Start button customization and I was a Tiles user from the get go). If you end up going that route, I would like to have a publisher subscription tier for "anything Stardock develops for entertainment" much like how you bundle all of
What really sucks about this situation (and I personally think that while FF and PR could have had a case, what they presented was specious and barratry) is that the IP is now poisoned. Even if Stardock "wins", the damage to the Star Control brand's goodwill due to this stupid fight over property that FF and PR seem to claim (despite their own acknowledgement on the intellectual debts elsewhere) probably make another game in this series too risky for an small developer to take on give
How many of you enjoy Stardew Valley? I certainly do! It reminds me of (gasp!) Harvest Moon. It has dating, it has farming, it has ranching, and it has magic. In fact, the gameplay is more or less the same as Back to Nature or any of the more recent Harvest Moon games (except with better introduction and treatment of adult themes such as where children come from and substance abuse). But the mechanics are definitely identical at certain levels in terms of tool us
Sigh, Stardock is no stranger to adversity. It survived the OS2 exodus, it'll survive this. That said, it's a real shame that the Paul and Fred are more destructive than creative. Surely, there was a less destructive way to deal with this.
Thank you for the patches, this game is now playable on my machine! It really is a pity that this was not the 1.0 patch (and as written earlier, I think many of the bugs should have been identified and addressed prior to 1.0), but despite all the issues with the communities, I really like this new universe start. Depending on the legal situation, I really, really hope to see more from the multiverse and not let this be another dead end.
You know, as as quality of life increase, could Mr. Korx please make an appearance in a future expansion to offset the Bounty Hunter bases and the trading race that is near the giants? I feel that there should be a sleazier salesperson (like the SC-II) that takes currency aside. Also, as a possible alternative to the wonderful Tynum towing service (we tow in the middle of enemy space!) where salvage is a possibility... More seriously, I hope that some of the
Well, thanks, that does solve some of the revolving crash problems I had with this. I suppose the Trombley II fleet encounters that I had were all for naught! I still think though that this game was released in an obvious beta status (as in, there's no way the playtesters would have missed some of these issues even with a cursory playthrough). As a founder on every single Stardock game (and a Star Control fan in particular), could we please cons
So, the name is doubly meaningful, but after Origin (singular) is beaten, what are you supposed to do? The only quest I have outstanding is the vault.
Trombley II's Unidentified Object cannot be investigated with E. Should give some kind of story error message that it can't be investigated.
I'm beginning to be suspicious that the main quest did not go through testing. There are several sequences that need lander upgrades that you don't have access to: 1. Mercury and Io for radioactives. In the original game, both places were toxic, but it was possible to sneak your lander, get the stuff, and go. 2. Lacaille - NONE of the planets are landable with Degenerate Matter. By the way
Listing some bugged out achievements (I can submit save files in support of this): All first contacts Uncomfortable (I assume that leaving the system requires Wymdoo) Stellar Cartography Not a high priority unlike the crash bugs being reported, but something to work on when you all have time.
