Swiching from the inbuilt graphics to the Nvidia graphics card solved my problem . I did not know that there was multiple ports that i could use for the display outlet. The change in dedicated video memory seems to be what my issue was i think but then i'm no expert.
Looking at the RunLog.txt in comparison to the one posted earlier i see. Dedicated Video Memory has changed from 128MB to 11127MB Also there was in the Shared System Memory a change from 16313MB to 16349MB So far playing the game after changing where the display was connected i have not had any problems. My display was not connected to the GeForce card , it is now connected. I have switched over to the opt-in build and i shall have a play and see how everything runs. Thanks

I have see the crash report pop ups you mention . But i have not seen one come up for Star Control the ones i have seen were for other games and have no connection to any Stardock products i have. I do not know where to look at BIOS to check the allocated RAM. The NVidia Geforce Experence is present on my rig but if you click on the NVidia icon on the toolbar a message pops up [ A yellow triangle with exclamation mark inside] NVIDIA Display settings are not available . I first asked the question in the post [ How do you fix this so it is playable ] and a description of the problems i was having . I recived some replies one was can i post my machine specs / graphics settings . I then asked where to find this and how to post them but did not get any directions on how to do so. Someone else said to look for/at Swap Chain Errors ? what ever that is i would not have a clue or where to find them if i had them.Thanks
Is there any tech help for people who do not know there way around a computer . So do i just need to wait untill they patch/update the game . And try to see if i can play it then ? Because right now i can not do nothing with it.
most of the lander failures stuff still happend in background and totaly died when hitting escape some went strait to desk top thou But all the rest went strait to desktop.

When i first started to play the game it crashed a lot then came good for a few hours then went back to crashing a lot . After that i lost all control { could not move or access inventory } now it just crashes as soon as i leave earth starbase. 70% of the crashes were in lander 25% when talking to someone And 5% when switching screens. I tried looking at the SC:O Support FAQ Forum and looked at the Page file Setting . And on the bit that talks about the Virtual memory
When i started it crashed a lot and not just on planets .Then came good for a few hours.Then went back to crashing a lot .Now when the game starts i have no control of anything can not move, open inventory or click on anything. Is this a finished game or a beta game . If this is a finished game what we you thinking releasing it is only going tarnish your reputation and get a lot of bad reviews .Hope it is made playable otherwise i just wasted $40 US.
