I have no Idea what anyone is talking about, I have attempted many times to understand how to create a skin, but it is so confusing that I cannot even begin to fathom how to do it. I have used tutorals and still do not understand.... However I find this discussion very interesting, indeed.

I have been trying to get on this site all morning, finally. I kept getting a 500 servier message: Page cannot be displayed, server is too busy, or has exceeded its traffic..." or something to that effect. What was interesting is that I could not use the Skinbrowser offline, I have a broadband system, so I do not know if you have to be connected to the internet to use the skinbrowser, but WC was down, I could not use the Skinbrowser... Anyway glad to be back at least for now.

addendum to above message: I worded a phrase rather badly, "...without hovering it goes away." What I meant to say is that when I do not hover over the link or skin no longer vanishes and the problem itelf seems to go away. Peace.

What I have discovered is that hovering over a link whether it is in a category such as logons, WB etc. or hovering over a Skin Link itself, will cause SB to crash (See Bill Sawyer)Bill shared this with me, so what I did was not hover, I quickly click the category or the skin, without hovering and it goes away, Bill also discovered that the larger the content in the tooltip description, that auto comes up when you hover over the link, the more the system will crash or go vanish....hopefully ther

Thanks to all and to Mr. Sawyer, you nailed the problem, When I hover over a category, the entire browser disappears but if I click on the category and move the cursor away from it, it stays, I downloaded a whole bunch of stuff, the key is to not hold your cursor (hover over the link)just click and move. Success......

It was a clean install, I have done that twice, I think it is with the programs, for instance it happened with WB 3.31h so I took that off, and downloaded the older version and it does not happen on WB. It happens on Logon, and beatnick...but not on Wallpapers....The older version of Logon has expired, so there is no using it at all. Even if you saved a download file, when you open it it says expired!!!!!

I think styleXP was the first names for windowblinds, or some other program....I downloaded it once upon a time, and realized that it was an older version of one of the Object Desktop programs, maybe weblinds....either way....I think that is what that is.

I am continuing to have an enormous problem with many of your software programs. Skinbrowser Vanishes when I try and use this program, Mostly in viewing and trying to apply skins from the browser with these categories, Logon and Windowblinds, I reinstalled the older version of windowblinds and the problem stopped. Strange huh? My computer crashed yesterday, so I had to reinstall everything, guess what? the Skinbrowser just vanishes, poof. Just like that....it did not happen until I downloaded all the new versions. I have done that however, the error message I get when I go to edit the t;heme is "can only edit ".logonfyles" and that extention is spelled exactly that way. Apparently I can no longer use bitmap but only pictures with that extention, maybe that is the real problem, and maybe that is some kind of virus.
