Thanks CariElf that worked a trick - that stardockcentral20.exe was larger than my copy of it - obviously the missing link libraries :) Strange that it reported no errors anywhere though ;) A missing .dll message would have sent the flags right up for me.
I had windows totally die on me (don't ask - it was not long after i got SDC working, and somehow doing an uninstall inside it deleted most of my system32 directory along with all of c:\progra~1\stardock - nothing else...) when i had maybe 3 games downloaded, and half of disciples 2. Now after reinstalling SDC there is no way of making it scan for my d:\games\stardock\*.* and understand that yes, it does have games already part deployed - so i
Whenever i try either the galciv.exe goes to process list, but no application ever starts.....
is this something someone has already sorted out ;) i can see the exe in my process list but no application ever starts for altarian or base galciv. i am running the current versions. for altarian gcloader can start the scenario/map/etc editors but same result with galciv.exe i can't seem to find any log files thanks
