Well the mystery has been solved and the bug has been squashed. Reading the posts made me think that perhaps I was looking in the wrong place for the solution. It didn't dawn on me but on the bottom frame there was a clock. Not the CClock plugin but the one built into wb. After I removed that IE worked fine. I am running wb alpha 3.9f and no problems. Try later. They are very picky about walls that are put online. The policy is only the best walls are shown. Using filters will more than likely get a thumbs down. The monitors sent me an email when my wall got rejected so server busy is not a rejection notice.

I sincerely appreciate all the input. Reinstalling webblinds might be a solution. I didn't think of that. The very first alpha of wb was fine. After that version there was an update for SkinStudio and that is when the problem started. Could SkinStudio add something that might be a problem. I noticed there is a lot of code that is listed in the validation. My skin is the only one I mess with in SkinStudio so that might be why it is only one acting up.

I have ad aware but use spybot mostly so I will uninstall ad aware. I did a IE fix and have all the updates. Disabling Webblinds didn't help and I can't run FX because my video card is intergrated into the motherboard and warnings appear that FX will use the CPU more.

I have updated Every windows using the update they have as an option and didn't loose any data. I did find it is best if you reformat and do a clean install. Maybe a project for the future.

Internet Explorer keeps locking up on loading when I am using wb alpha. I hate to admit this but it only happens on a skin I am working on. (the one I just uploaded) I made a new version thinking it was the smart buttons that caused the lockup. This didn't change. There is nothing out of the ordinary with the graphics or code. I am totally stumped and need advice or something. Would anyone have a suggestion, ANY, that might cause a failure in IE.

How for why don't the Admin, Wizop have special nicknames besides the add on at the beginning. Like in chat rooms. Example on the chat server I use to host the volunteers all had TCC in the name and the paid hosts had CCC. Jafo has nothing designating his status so how would anyone be able to know "He is someone important" [one woman's early morning ramblings]

I am looking for the skin but can't find it anywhere. Did you upload it, K. B. I had that happen to the skin I just uploaded and never got it back to the one that was deleted. It has been an Achilles heal ever since and never came close to as good as the one deleted. Good luck if you try and duplicate it. WIsh you a better memory than I have.

Litestep installed just fine at first. I have 2 users on my PC with admin and only set it for one. The trouble started when I tried to change a theme. Nothing happened and I lost everything on the desktop. I had to hit the reset button to get anything back. Flashback to the WIn98 days. When I got everything back I set tablaunchpad to be visible all the time and that saved me from the reset. I was able to change the theme through the Litestep configuration which I got to

I installed Litestep yesterday and it wouldn't let me shut down, log off, change users or restart. I was able to get to the control panel through IE and remove it which allowed me to change users only. Is this normal because I would like to give it another try?
