Thanks for this, but when I click the link it just gives me this error dialog. Any workarounds or another way to retrieve my account ID?

I was able to get it from my phone, but just in case this is an issue for others I'll just leave this here :-P

Awesome!  I already had the base game on Epic.

Ironically it was cheaper for me to firstly upgrade Supernova on Epic and then port the whole lot to Steam.  As opposed to immediately buying Supernova on Steam.

Thanks guys for this service! Supernova firmly placed in my Steam library.

Hi - I followed the process and get a key, but the key is only for Gal Civ IV, not Supernova, which I upgraded to on Epic.  When I search my library on Steam, I only show Galactic Civilizations IV - no listing for Supernova. Whereas, on EPIC, my library shows that I own, Gal Civ IV, AND  Gal Civ IV: Supernova. So, what's the deal?

If I am supposed to be entitled to a key for Steam for the Supernova edition, for which I already own on Epic, why am I not getting Supernova to show in my Steam ibrary?

Please help,

Many thanks and may peace and prosperity be upon you all and all those you hold dear.

Dear friends,

I was just sent a "unique key" from you, which I promptly tried to add to my Steam account.

as you can see here, it says I own it...

as this image shows, my library only shows Gal Civ IV, but no Supernova edition...

What am I doing wrong? Why doesn't it show Supernova edition?

Again, please help and thank you and as ever, as before, may peace and prosperity be upon you and all those you hold dear

Steam only has Supernova, even if it isn't displayed as such (base GC IV is ONLY available on Epic as far as I know). I did the transfer as well, and it is Supernova.

Any word on when Supernova will be on GOG?

As part of a marketing update, the name supernova was simply dropped from the launcher side for some reason, I assure you that the ONLY version you can play on steam is supernova, and that what you are seeing is in fact the supernova version which should be more apparent when booting the game

Hello,
Is this link still relevant?
I have GalCiv IV on the Epic Game Store since early access.
I wanted to relaunch the game now that it is released but impossible to find the supernova upgrade on the EGS. So I tried to use this page to upgrade my game with supernova for $15.99 but when I try I get an error message
"I'm sorry, an error has occurred while trying to validate your information.
Please try again or contact [email protected] for assistance." When trying to contact the stardock support, it sends me back here.

I'm only trying to be helpful, so please don't spam me with hate if what I suggest is something you have already done.

When going from Epic to Steam, you have to enter your Epic ID - which is not the same as your screen name - you get your Epic ID by logging on to their website and going to your account information page.

I hope this helps and again, if you already have tried it, sorry I butted in on your aggravation.

I've got the same error and also no discount on epic.

Ok so it isn't just me getting the error when I try to get the Epic to Steam transfer key.

Did the ability to do this expire or something?

I see that people started asking about it last night, but no reply from the Stardock team yet.

Guess I'll go back to BG 3 or something until they respond.

Happy Friday !
