It was in Early Access for so long. There are bound to be some issues there now that it isn't. This was the link created during Early Access. It's software, the more complex it gets the more problems it might have(Murphy's Law withstanding). As for the guy apologizing in advance, he's not a Dev or Support. It's just his thing in many posts(they actually mistaken him for a dev/support though at least once). Don't take things so personal. It's his experience. World doesn't revolve around you personally. They probably post-flamed him more than once. He's just trying to help.

Key exchanges should be working for anyone who owns GalCiv 4: Supernova on Epic.

For anyone who just owns the GalCiv 4 base game on Epic, we are still working on why that version check is failing.

If you see any issues with GalCiv 4: Supernova exchanges, please post them here as we will be monitoring this issue over the weekend.

I'm having the same issue, can't get discount upgrade on epic, or get a steam transfer key for supernova discount.

tell me, why I should pay again for the game. I already paid for it, when I bought the Early Access Version of it at Epic Games at the 17th of July in 2021. 

So I have a right, to get the finished version of the game now. Otherwise you have to give me back my money. 

Everything else would be fraud...

But no upgrade and the key transfer page is buggy.

I am having the same problem as many with retrieving my Steam key. I have Galciv 4: Supernova on Epic Games. When I click the Key Transport link to submit my Epic ID and email address, it immediately responds with an error occurred trying to validate your information. I would very much love to have this game hosted in my Steam library.

Having the same issue.

When entering my epic games details I get the following error message:

"I'm sorry, an error has occurred while trying to validation your information. Please try again or contact [email protected] for assistance."

lol, kinda funny the weekend I finally find out about this key transfer option is the weekend it breaks. Really hope it gets solved soon; 

 Very unfortunate timing, even the trying to upgrade to supernova on epic games isn't working, can we at least fix that?

To get a good laugh while we wait for this to be resolved, try asking Epic support about it.

"Have you tried upgrading in-game?  Are you sure you logged in with the correct account?"

Similar issue here: I've come back for a little gaming after a very long work project has taken all my time over the past year to find that (1) the GalCiv early access game I bought has now forked into two different products, (2) I need to upgrade to Supernova if I want the latest version and (3) I can't perform the (discounted) upgrade in either Epic or via key transfer to Steam (preferred).

Okay then, moving on.

I just tried again and it worked for me this time. Awesome!
