I am still unable to upgrade on Epic. 

Is the upgrade cost on Epic the same as Steam?

What I'm getting at this url: https://www.galciv4.com/keytransport
is the error message: The Epic Account ID you have entered is invalid. Please check that you have entered it correctly.

I AM entering the ID listed in my EPIC account information and the correct mail, so...

Will wait on feedback from the ticket I opened (SSN-60212)

As I already said, bought the game on Epic in EA. That means that I have the right, to get the full version of the game without paying for it again. If you will tell us, it where another game now, you Stardock are lying. Made almost the same trick with another game called sorcerer king. Anyone who bought the game was called a fool from Stardock who should bought again the game as Sorcerer king rivals. Now here you made such a trick again, but without me. You are frauds and I will never buy a game from your Enterprise, hopping it will die soon.

Hello there! I believe there is a misunderstanding here that I would like to clarify. The base game of GalCiv IV on Epic already released on Epic, it hasn't been in EA for quite some time. What was in EA over the summer was specifically the stand alone expansion Supernova, which is bundled with the game on steam as a type of definitive edition. 

To Recap:

  • The original release of Galactic Civilizations IV was the
    Epic Edition. Released exclusively on the Epic Game Store
    in 2022.
  • The Supernova Edition is the version being released on
    Steam (and is available on Epic as an expansion pack).
  • Supernova takes all the lessons learned from the original
    release and adds a massive amount of new features.
  • Owners of the Epic edition can upgrade to Galactic
    Civilizations IV: Supernova Edition for $14.99 (far less than
    a typical expansion pack) either on the Epic Game Store
    or on Steam.

We've actually made some posts with clearly outlined tables on the differences. Beyond that, we even support a full key transfer from one platform to another as outlined in this thread.

Hey all, I recently got back into galciv and found the option to transfer from EGS to Steam. I decided to try and do just that and keep coming up with an error. 

I made sure to grab my EGS account ID from the account page, going as far as copy/pasting and the manually typing it out. The email is the same on my EGS, steam and PayPal, and Stardock accounts. Any help in the matter would be appreciated.

I bought the Expansion Pass on Epic. Will that also transfer to Steam? Or will each DLC transfer when they are released?

Hi Elryzor02,

I do NOT think you can transfer the Expansion from Epic to Steam...if you read the fine print, Epic explicitly says this at the bottom of their page.  I purchased GC4 on Epic, then purchased GC4 Supernova (before I realized what I did) at full price. Then I purchased Expansion on Epic. I couldn't get the Achievements to work on Epic, and I saw multiple people report that after they switched to Steam the Achievements worked. I began the process to switch, only to find that GC4 Supernova went to Steam ok, but not my Expansion pack (so I had to purchase that on Steam as well). Now, everything works on Steam, including the Achievements, it took about 5 business days for the Achievements to "activate" (I don't know why). I think you will have to purchase Expansion Pack on Steam.
