Start11 Public Beta Issue Report Thread

With the Start11 Public Beta release, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.  

Obtaining Start11 Public Beta

Object Desktop members can get the release from within Object Desktop Manager

Reporting an issue

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)
  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive services (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube) and links included in your post.  Images can be directly added.
  • If there are specific apps that Groupy does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Start11 issue. I keep the task bar nearly transparent at 8% solid. When the computer comes out of sleep mode or is turned on the taskbar is a solid Gray and I have to go in to the configuration menu and just slightly move the transparency slider to either 7 or 9% and then it becomes nearly transparent again. I'm using start11.(point5) with Windows 11 22000.132. Dell Precision t1650  with XEON E3-1220V2 processor 32gb of ram, and a nvidia gtx 970. I don't know if anybody else is experiencing this problem.

Sleep \ wake is such a disruptive process but is it EVERY time or just some - could it sometimes wake and be fine (keeps settings) ... or no, it reproducible 100% of the time?

Ever time, I tried run This program as administrator. I also dual boot with Windows 7 but I don't believe that would make any difference.

Yes, for me it's reproducible 100% of the time. My computer (NUC) does not sleep or hibernate and my monitor does not sleep/standby. I just turn off the monitor (HDMI connection) when I'm finished using it and leave the computer running headless. When the monitor is turned back on Start11 colour and transparency are lost and they default to Windows 11 settings.

As an aside, TaskbarXI retains colour and transparency at all times

Beta 0.55 seems to have resolved this. Taskbar colour and transparency are now retained through monitor switch off/on and through reboots.

Translations will be coming closer to 1.0.

The menu itself should be translated ok right now, but due to changes to the text in the config it will not be translated until it is final.

I have purchased it actually I purchased everything decent discount at 30 bucks but I'm not seeing start 11.55.

I'm not seeing start 11.55 in that list. I download updates through my phone because my computer is actually not connected to the internet. 

Can you give us a direct link please

How was it a billing account question when you already have my money? Can you give us a direct link to 11.55?

Or you going to just hide it? 

Again I don't have my computer connected to the internet I download updates through my phone and then send it to my computer through Bluetooth.

It's an 'account' question because you are asking why you are not seeing it there...

However, Start11 .55 (not 11.55) is indeed under your account: 

We can't give out direct links as we are wanting to limit the trials that are allowed at this time - something the installer would allow access to.
