I bought star control origins through steam but stardock has blocked it on steam. Shows I have the expansion but I purchased star control origins.

"Blocked it" not sure what you mean. If you bought direct through Steam it should have worked. I don't think you can even buy the expansion without already owning the base game. Do you have a screenshot of your library?

When I purchased it I did not have a problem it worked. The next time I reinstalled it a stardock screen came up an the box you click on to start the game was greyed out. The other stardock games work fine. It shows that I did not purchase it. Says I own the expansion I do not.

We added the Stardock launcher to SCO recently. So you might be selecting the wrong game in the launcher or something else could be going wrong say with a firewall or something.

Can you try launching the game directly using its exe?

Right click on SCO in Steam > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files > Game >StarControl_DX11
