So we all think that Sins is an amazing game.  We'd like Sins 2.  Post here if you want it.

A Sins 2, or at least a rebuilding of the Sins engine for 64bit seems like a no-brainer to me.

Interest in the game is still strong after all these years, and so developing a new one would be pretty low-risk. I think the IP is pretty unique and attracts a wide audience because of it, including the recently invigorated Homeworld community. There are also pretty much no direct competitors for a E4X/RTS game, especially not one in space.

Also the potential for expansion and improvement over the last installment is so obvious: New game modes; better RTS elements; a possible campaign...the list goes on

I already did a post on that, but writing here too cos it might have relevance: today were ICO Server messages, that might indicate something new. I just dont know if theyre to be taken seriously or the admin was just drunk

I'll literally buy it again if they just remade Rebellion 64bit with better mod support.  I don't even care about a campaign, just wish I could avoid late game lag and 2GB crashes.

I convinced three friends to buy a new copy of Rebellion, and I bought a new copy myself on a different account, all at full price on Steam. Have some money, Ironclad - and some gentle reminder that we still love your game and we still want 64-bit! :)

ASAP!

Well you probably see a sins 2 for awhile with them still carrying support for rebellion. You don't have to worry about them being still in good relations with their subsiderary iron clad since they own it. As far as the game engine for sins 2 it would be oxide or better which sounds solid. As far as features this was their first shot at an rts. It would better this time around since they made more games since then. I think sins was a decent game.

Uh...

I'm fairly certain Stardock does not own Ironclad.

They don't own us but we've been collaborating with them for many years now.

Integrate star swarm with sins 2 :)

It wasn't a question oxide was designed seperate than ashes. The engine more or less how it's played not features. Ashes was built on the oxide engine. Not that the engine was designed for ashes. Iron clad may have a different engine or stardock may have something better now. But besides the enging feature wise compared to rebellion the worse half of the features are improved. The other half the same. With half as many more features built on the oxide engine would be sins 2. Of course what features that would need improving would be decided by both stardock and iron clad. Just ashes is the first the second should be even better. Now they.had more time to work with the engine. The new features decided the same way.

The biggest thing imo, is the Oxide engine would allow all those glorious models to actually have moveable turrets and actual projectiles that can miss (rather than just less damage %) and so on

Oh I can't wait for Sins + Oxide.  I'm having a nerdgasm just thinking about it.

im waiting for sins 2 -.-

Make it so!!!!!!

I'd buy it. 5*

I want and will buy a Sins 2.

basically what they have done with the ashes engine but sins 2 would be awesome, anything less than this level of game engine technology would be pointless.
