Elite Founders can submit their star names – and their names to be included in the special thanks credit – for Galactic Civilizations III today. Simply head to https://www.galciv3.com/nameastar and login with your Stardock account (that you purchased the Elite Founders edition with) to submit your names.

Please note that any content Stardock deems inappropriate will invalidate your entire submission. We keep open minds and Galactic Civilizations III is certainly not a series that takes itself so seriously that we have to outlaw anything funny or off-beat, but profanity, trademark- or copyright-infringing content, or any kind of slurs or hate speech will not be accepted.

Star naming and special-thanks credits submissions will remain open until the alpha ends and beta begins, which will likely be toward the end of May. Please remember that any plan can be derailed in the face of the realities of game development, but that’s the timeframe we’re aiming for.

Many thanks to all of our Founders for their support. Your feedback, both on the official forums or via the Galactic Civilizations III Steam forums, has already been extremely helpful in making this the best game it can possibly be.

I wish they had put a count on the number of entries in the list so I didn't have to keep counting rows just to find out how many Elite Founders there are at present....

Just a reminder again:

We keep open minds and Galactic Civilizations III is certainly not a series that takes itself so seriously that we have to outlaw anything funny or off-beat, but profanity, trademark- or copyright-infringing content, or any kind of slurs or hate speech will not be accepted.

It's recommended to be as unique as possible.  Naming starts after other sci-fi inspired planets and worlds most likely won't be accepted for obvious reasons.

It is not about me. I am convinced it will generate a million smiles across the world. Likely prevent a handful of suicides, and possibly a murder or two.

If you are that desperate, open up a second steam account / second stardock account purchase and elite founders edition again and name another star. I don't think they would mind if you did. Plus it is multiplayer and you can use it for friends and family that visit to play you. :)

I would help out, but I already named my star... I was torn and wanted to name it after my daughters... but I have 2 and couldn't just choose one.

I got my star name accepted B) .  As I posted in another thread it is in remembrance of my daughter who past last year.  Now when I see her star in the game, I will have a smile on my face.  Thanks Stardock.

Star name submitted.  I'm sure there won't be any issues with "Mizura" since it's just a name from an old RP of mine.  Can't wait to see some of these in game.

I love you all... but I surely hope some of those listed get... well, sent back for revisions, even if it is an "approved" list.  Some of them just seem to... not fit in the universe.  Though... I suppose who says it has to.  :/

The submissions now are picking out any obvious rejections with trademarks, and that sort of thing.  There will still be discretion when the devs put the final list in the game.  

But remember.....
