Elite Founders can submit their star names – and their names to be included in the special thanks credit – for Galactic Civilizations III today. Simply head to https://www.galciv3.com/nameastar and login with your Stardock account (that you purchased the Elite Founders edition with) to submit your names.

Please note that any content Stardock deems inappropriate will invalidate your entire submission. We keep open minds and Galactic Civilizations III is certainly not a series that takes itself so seriously that we have to outlaw anything funny or off-beat, but profanity, trademark- or copyright-infringing content, or any kind of slurs or hate speech will not be accepted.

Star naming and special-thanks credits submissions will remain open until the alpha ends and beta begins, which will likely be toward the end of May. Please remember that any plan can be derailed in the face of the realities of game development, but that’s the timeframe we’re aiming for.

Many thanks to all of our Founders for their support. Your feedback, both on the official forums or via the Galactic Civilizations III Steam forums, has already been extremely helpful in making this the best game it can possibly be.

Fantastic, just submitted my name/star.

 

There's some cool star names in that list and there's also some pretty random ones! Very interesting.

 

I agree with a few others. Allowing star names with at least 1 space would open up the possibilities a lot for valid star names.

Massicarr, will be conquered by by the corrupt Sovereign Darca. Can the exiled Sovereign Emperor Harper Night of the Parrsidian liberate the Universe before a even greater threat emerges!?!?

I get to find the answer to this in a custom game upon release! Thank you SD for giving me a way to see what I write and have fun!

Well, they said that you cannot modify your choice once it is submitted. If I beg for a change it could make a precedent and other people will want it too.

Our best hope is that someone else does it.  ( Or stardock themselves :-" )

Wow, I was really surprised to actually see some cool star names up there!  I was worried that they'd all be stuff like "Bodymassage" or "Yourmom".  There were a few silly ones in there, but I was still impressed.  I almost felt guilty submitting "Wankoslavia".

ParagonRenegade you are one lucky man, having both of your names in game! If those two stars spawn next to each other in order one day.... that'd be an amazing screenshot!

 

Imastar is great, on that note how about simply 'fusion' or 'H' or 'Hydrogen' or 'Flammable' for other people stuck for names? :D
