GalCiv III Founder's Vault!

Greetings!

We've created a special page for GalCiv III founders where we're giving access to GalCiv III related assets!

First up, some pieces from the upcoming GalCiv III soundtrack that is being created by a team-up of the composer for Civilization IV/V and the composer for Galactic Civilizations I/II.

Okay, thought I could live with it, I can't. The new additions to the vault are again downloaded as htm files. Even DownloadThemAll sees them as htm files. :'(

It looks like a Firefox problem.  They're downloading as .htm files in Firefox if I double click or right click/save as.   They're downloading correctly in Chrome, though.

With Firefox, I just renamed the extensions back to the original and they work.

Just added a bunch of new musical themes. I think you'll like them.

I really like the Thalan Contingency theme and Our Better Angels.

The Drengin Domination track for me.

nice music....

oh, @hawawaa, recent studies indicate listening to music can improve brain function.... really.....

We are taking music very seriously these days.

Galciv III's music is a team up of Geoff Knorr, who composed the music for Civ IV and V and Mason Fisher who did our galactic 2 music (and elemental).

We also recently brought Richard Gibbs on board to begin composing themes (Battlestar Galactica).

Thank you for adding the dates to the stuff in the Vault It was starting to become a pain to see what's new and what is not

Just delete this.  Stupid browser jumping around.

How old is the picture of the Graphs Screens? I'm just asking, because it shows a starting date of 2238. According to the Timeline, the current year is 2242, or is that only the case for the campaign?

Also, interesting to note, that we are down to two spending sliders (production and research). Big improvement over the four in GalCiv 2. Are those sliders still dependent on another (can't set both to 100% at the same time) or are they independent now?

I'm definitely going to be getting a founders pack, I'm considering the founders elite though. I know it costs alot more but if it nets me some nice DLC in the future then I'd gladly pay and support it but if there isn't much to get out of it I don't like the sound of it at all.

Does anybody know what they are planning with the dlc?

According to the FAQ  ( https://www.galciv3.com/game/faq )they said that ),

"all DLC and expansions we ever produce for Galactic Civilizations III (and we’ve got some big plans for those), "

Just Downloaded the content from the founders vault and based on the comments I've seen here so far, I'm in for a treat.

It's good to know there seems to be a a greast community of folks here on the forums with excellent participation from the developers.

Looking forward to all the new development information and the alpha.  Best Regards to all.

Love the organic curves and designs in the concept art for the ship creation. Thank you very much :)

Any chance a small portion of the music could be released to the people who haven't pre-ordered yet?

Maybe even just the title theme?

You really should hear "A New Beginning" or the "peace songs" for each race. They're quite good, great even. Here's hoping some of the audio is released publicly too.

I'd really suggest signing up for founder's basic though; you save some cash, you see the founder's vault and you get to play it early! :D

Hai guys!

I'm now a founder! I've played the 1 and 2 enough to know that i love galciv, and i hope that the nr 3 won't stray too far from the prequels! In Stardock we trust! :D

Hey, i listened to the music for galciv 3. It's very nice, i have to say, but the mixolydian scale doesn't really scream space, and at least the iconian song i listened to sounded more medieval to me. I'm sure it'll be nice either way (i might just be indoctrinated by the massive use of the mixolydian scale in old christian music), but it's just a thought. I'm a classical musician by profession, and i'm happy to give you some more feedback if you want it. Loved the first and the second game, and can't wait to play the third one! :D

The Founder's Elite edition is going to be, by far, the best deal.  We have planned 2 or 3 major expansions plus god knows how many DLC packs over the next several years.
