That is a point. Lord Ryat started with a massive fleet and lots of resources. Short of a full fledge empire, nothing could stop him. Now, however, things may change. A little.

Wow, I just saw this thread.... I can't believe you guys have been playing this game since October of 2009....., is the author still around? You could probably ask him how his accounting major is going... Maybe he's already an accountant?

Let's see, this thread was started, Oct. 15, 2009.

Sins was released Feb. 4, 2008.

Entrenchment was released Feb. 25, 2009.

Diplomacy was released Feb 9, 2010.

Anyone see a pattern?  I'm guessing Rebellion will be released in the month of February, 2012.

So anyway, this thread was well into Entrenchment, and a few months before Diplomacy.
