[Video] Super Slow Motion - Queen of Thorns (ain't she gorgeous?)

This time I made a collage of QoT idle animations and a few skills.  Face it: her idle animations are better than anything Rook could do. :)

Anyway, I'm slowly getting the hang of the video editing software I use, so that's why it's not just single one-shot scenes anymore.

If you like it, please rate it on youtube.

Holy crap, did you see her lag just SNAP to an ungodly angle at the end of the death sequence? OUCH!

This is really nice. Love the death sequence.

Must have been a hard marketing decision to put Rook out as post child for Demigod instead of Queen of Thorns.

Tentacle demon girls are so good for sales...

Looks awesome, all of the slow-mo vids are fun to watch. Can really see the particle UV distortion at slower game speeds!

Music reminds me of a 1980s martial arts movie montage. You can just picture Van Damme learning kickboxing in a bamboo forest with his master to that music.

I suppose the main reason these things are so fun to watch is the circumstance that we know the details are there, but we never feel like we have time to stop and enjoy them.

while playing we zoom so far out that we oversee as much of the battlefield as we need for our current task ... and even when it comes to a close melee battle with a finger hovering above the counterspell key, we never zoom as close as in these videos.

not to mention that we usually play at a slightly higher speed. It's kinda satisfying to know that there are so many details to discover if we just bothered to look.

And the music was usually played during sunny landscape scenes of the french bretagne dotted with roman ruins. I suppose for japanese music directors this is as exotic as a bamboo forest with van Damme inside is for us.

:)

Ok, I'm gay but EVEN that turned me on....a little.     Was I a the only one to notice they paid critical detail to making her hum-ditties bounce realisticly?  LOL  Classic.

This could end the whole gay marriage issue!  Just have all the gay people of the world watch this video, problem solved :D

i don't think that gays have a problem with gay marriage, though. :)

It's more like the guys with the problems are the straight white christian males.

I wonder if I can make a Regulus vs Erebus vid to turn them gay (if they aren't already in secret). }:)

I think the first time I heard of bouncing boobs getting censored was Fatal Fury's Mai Shiranu.

Pretty harmless, but bam, US censorship protects the youth from things they think about all the time anyway.

You made a related remark in the Erebus thread. What's wrong with the music choice ?

I used it because it had something ethereal and glorious ... both attributes fitting well with QoT. Also matched the storybook I had in mind.

Do you think it didn't fit or is that just not your kind of music ?

I think it does fit, but I think I would have gone in a different direction with it. It's just an aesthetic difference.

what would be your aesthetic musical choice for QoT?

I try to stay on the orchestra path, but that's just my preference. For Erebus I did consider Swamped by Lacuna Coil, but I found something better on the orchestral side.

Next one will probably be Unclean Beast and I'm thinking of some funny big band jungle tune or something classical starting slow but ending in a crescendo, like this: In the hall of the Mountain King
