This came out today

I just picked it up at GameStop and am installing now.  Why do all websites (including this one) say that it's not out until the 14th?  Will I be able to play this when it's done installing?

I think I-Dusk-I needs the extra practice, anyway - he won't be racking up favour points at this rate:

3v1 slaughter

I work at Gamestop, and we never had a Street-Date in our system at all, and our Store-Wide Online Site showed its Release Date moved to the 10th, Ship date of the 9th, but no SD attached to it. So, it most likely is a nation-wide effect that this is selling now.

I figure most will be too busy doing their taxes this weekend to go buy computer games anyway. :)

I can't believe that happened... How lame...

We're investigating. Its street date is the 14th.

This game was not street dated.  Street dated games ring up as street dated.  It is not GameStop's fault this was sold "early."

That level looks amazing! Still, stop teasing us, Green. Now I want to play.. Oh well, I work the next two days so if we do get to download Monday, at least I'll have my full weekend to play now.

No, he won. That's why he got more points. He got 220 and they each got 10.

Can any of you people who have bought the game confirm there is no replay system?

Looking at the screenshot there is no "save replay" button...

There appears to be a "DGReplay" file saved to Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\replays\ - however that is just a file, not a system for replaying games. I do not know what would be necessary to use that file, if it can be used at all.

How's this Green?

Is that up to your standards?  Of course I need more practice... I did not participate in the Beta and my game against you was my absolute first.

Hehe Avalon dont worry he was just teasing. In fact it was even easier for him as he actually got free kills from 2 noob a.i

You can use this:

To run replays. But they are buggy and suck.

If gamestop's systems did not have it street dated, then why does gamestops own website that it ships on the 14th?

I think it means it ships its orders on the 14th...or you get your order on the 14th.

Gamestop.com and GameStop stores are sepearated entities.  They did not break street date because there WAS no street date.

You keep saying that, but everyone else seems to think there was.... Tuesday the 14th.

I suspect gamestop screwed up, and by that I'm not saying the employees who sold it are at fault, if it was not rining up in there system as having a street date then who ever at that company who's job it is to insure street dates are inputed, is at fault.

(The other reason for street dates is so that all retailers can have the copies at the same time.  It's to help combat the fact that if X retailer gets there copies first and starts selling them, Y and Z retails get less sales -- which is unfair to them).

So I'm not blaming you  Avalon, but clearly some wires got crossed.  Why would you guys have the 9th, when almost every other retailer online or not has the 14th listed?

I know for a fact, as an employee there, that they did not.  Demigod arrived in stores today in accordance with the release date set in our computer.  I was the only one with a preorder on it and the game did not have a street date so I obviously picked it up.

Great game, btw... thank you Stardock.
