This came out today

I just picked it up at GameStop and am installing now.  Why do all websites (including this one) say that it's not out until the 14th?  Will I be able to play this when it's done installing?

some retailers sell games earlier then they are supposed to be. You probably will be able to play the singleplayer but I wouldn't be suprised if your CD-Key is not valid yet - maybe it is though.

I wouldn't get too used to the way things work just yet becasue you wont have the day 0 patch that changes ALOT of things. Lucky find though.

No kidding 0 day patch has a ton of NICE and much needed changes.  Wonder if their CD key gets them instant access to the zero day patch though.  I would assume the zero day patch is done now for reviewers to look at, but I guess that depends on when they have reviews scheduled.

Impulse is allowing me to update the game and my registration key was accepted.  Is this the day 0 patch?

 

[EDIT:] Internet games work after the patch, but there are no games to join :(

Ok so my wife needed to run to our local mall to pick up a few last minute things for Easter. I always stop into the EB Games store to see whats new etc. Low and behold i see the guy behind the counter unpacking a box. I go to ask him a question about Demigod to see when there suppose to get their shipment in and what do you suppose he pulled out of the box? Yea Demigod.....i stand there a sec in disbelief....and said "You going to sell that now? " he answers "Of course ..do you want one? "......I mutter to myself the whole way home.

 

So i have a digital copy that can't be downloaded untill tuesday morn but there already selling the game in stores?

 

Well needless to say i'm looking into canceling my pre-order and as soon as it happens i'm running back to that store and buying it.

Wonder what the response will be from Stardock? Wonder if it's too late to cancel my preorder..no offense to good 'ol Stardock, but if I can start playing now and get to practicing..why wait for them to start slowly passing out keys Tuesday and then spend most of the day downloading?

Maybe they'll offer a bonus to make up for it. *Hopes in vain.* Well, it's too late to pick it up now but we'll see what they say by tomorrow.

My gamestop has one copy left but I'd rather not buy it without canceling my preorder first.  The Stardock sales line (1-888-STARDOCK) says that the company is closed today and Monday.  Translation - if I buy it at the store I am going to get charged twice.  Does anyone know how to cancel the preorder electronically?

I actually had a friend call me and say he just picked it up; he was wondering if I had gotten the release date wrong. I've known him since highschool so I know he's not kidding. He works here with me so I'll see him in an hour or so to confirm it, but it seems true. No collector's edition though, just normal edition at the two eb's I've called and the one he got his from.

If not for wanting collector's I'd jump and pick it up during my lunch break.. I still might, and then gift the normal edition to a friend. What's 40 bucks to get some practice in over my weekend? Plus I'll get yet another buddy joining me online.

On that note, anyone have any luck finding an EB with collector's edition?
