Tutorial Authors Needed

Write a tutorial for one of the programs from Stardock

I'm often searching for tutorials for the programs that i use from Stardock. There are only a few here, so I am proposing that we start to make some tutorials for the programs that don't already have one. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is often looking for tutorials, so this project is for anybody who is like that.

My thoughts were

  • Pictures to help the reader understand what to do better
  • Put together into a PDF file to be one big tutorial file in the end as well as separate tutorials.

Please try to upload it as a MS Word document, but if you can't, a PDF will do.

This project is open to everyone, and every contribution will be more than welcome!

SkinStudio - Open
CursorFX - Open
Xion - Open
Dream - Open
LogonStudio XP - Open
LogonStudio Vista - Open
WinMedia - Open
ScreenSavers - Open
Maxthon - Open
BootSkin - Open
WinAmp - alibear123 - In Process
SysMetrix - alibear123 - Completed

If there are any others that I haven't included that you would like to do, please just say and I'll add it.

Already done:

  • DesktopX
  • IconPackager

Not too many depositers, when I go there from SkinStudio it's always blank.

DexktopX.. Done.. nice... but not 100% correct... id love to re-do about 90% of the documentation taking a day-by-day approch to learning DX, starting with the basics and working up to basic scripting.  It would also be awesome to have the website a little easier to navigate, etc.  But.. time = $ and im broke

This is what the WinCustomize Wiki was created for.  Any user can contribute tutorials, articles, etc. for everyone else to see and even help contribute.

Tutorials don't have to be super long, they can just focus on one specific point.  Anything to help other users is appreciated.  :)

This could be a downloadable version which could be used offline! Perfect for when the user has no internet connection!

And sometimes people don't realise that there's a Wiki - it should really be advertised on the homepage...

RomanDA, if you want a new DesktopX tutorial, I'll add it to the list. And by the way, if you want to re-do one that's already been done, then feel free!

Hey, I've just finished the SysMetrix tutorial. I'll see where I can upload it to...
The Wiki?  ;)

I can't upload it to the wiki, because it's an MS Word document. I think I'll upload it to my own web space for now.

Block in the text. Copy and paste to the wiki. Fix spacing.

Why don't you just c&p it to the wiki? I think no one's ever gonna find your site while looking for a tutorial :P

Have you looked at it? If you do, you'll see why I haven't just copied and pasted it onto the wiki. Also, this is a pre-release.
