Too late?

Is it too late to pre-order too get into the beta? Birthdays coming up so I ran into cash and would love to be apart of it. Will it tell me when I pre-order if it's full or not?

Also, is there any update on when the beta is, is it still set for this month or has it been pushed back?

I´ve read in the chat, that the beta will start after the Penny Arcade Expo which takes place on august 29th - 31st.

I really hope its actually mid-August, like around the 15th, I'm pre-ordering today than, can't wait to help what looks to be another classic from Stardock.

Ya, 29th/30th isn't an August beta, it's a September beta.

If it takes place on August 30th, it is late-August instead of mid-August, meaning that they lied. It also means it is Fall (I know, technically Fall isn't until Sept 21 or something, but I'm going by weather-seasons not sun-seasons :D), making them even more liars. They don't want to be liars!

You obviously don't live in Texas. Here, if you're going by weather-seasons, Fall doesn't start till late October, at best ;p

Tyo stated yesterday in the Demigod chat that beta would likely not be out before PAX. The whole schedule was tentative as it states in the journal. Of course there is always hope. Sorry to bring the bad news. :(

May I ask you what PAX is? I never heard anything about PAX and I can't find anything on Google about it.

They don't owe you one. And yes, it does. Tentative means they can't commit to anything, which by nature means it's bound to change. Even better, the actual "Tentative schedule" post doesn't say mid-August, it only says August.

Um..their lead designer left the team a few days ago to go to a new opportunity. That's a pretty good reason to delay a game/beta if the main guy you depend on leaves the company.
