(resolved) No custom races in Twilight of the Arnor???

I just did a clean install of Twilight of the Arnor from Stardock Central, without having the beta version installed or such. Everything works fine otherwise, but when I set up a new game, the create custom race button on the opponent setup screen is disabled. Has anyone had this problem?

Resolution: If you had the beta, make sure you delete the gc2twilight directory from my documents\my games\. We will issue an update later this week that will automatically remove the data for later installs.

I do as well. Can't select the 'Create Custom Opponent' button at the bottom of the race list. It is greyed out. :(

How the hell did I miss that? I just checked and mine's grayed out too.

I cannot create custom races too (the button doesn't even show) nor can i create custom opponent.

I'm rather frustrated :p.

Could we have any insight on this problem?
Thanks

Ha, this is the exact reason I just came to the forums. I will be sad if we can't use custom races with this expansion.

UPDATE: This is a quote from the newest journal by Brad Wardell:

"Players can now design their own civilizations that even have their own unique technology trees - and players can create additional tech trees with the included editors."

Maybe I am missing something.

I tried to use the tech design thingy. There is no help

Yeah, but i think this is a bug, or an installation problem. It reminds me the beta when no custom race was allowed.
Perhaps there is an option somewhere to choose, or something to do, i don't know.

For me it works. Are you sure you disabled "show pre-release versions" in SD cedtral and did download the correct version? (not the release candidate which has a [rc] in its version number)

Didn't uncheck "show pre-release version" button but dont have rc in the version number. Version number I have is 1.90.018

Hmm. Let me ask Cari and Brian.  My version lets me do custom races.

Looks like the 'new custom opponent' button was mistakenly not reenabled for final. You should still be able to create them via the player custom race customization though, saving the race then adding it as an opponent.

I can create a custom race to play myself, but the "create new opponent" button on the opponent selection screen is greyed out. You're saying your "create new opponent" button is working?

Did you remember to uninstall the beta?

Yup, uninstalled the beta, then deleted the Twilight folder completely just to be sure.

You can create a custom race to play as in the civ selection screen, then go back and select another race to play with. Now your custom race will show as an opponent. Kind of a short term fix till they get the create custom opponents part back on as it doesn't let you tweek personality, aggressiveness, or any of those type things.

You should be able to edit them once you've got them on the opponent screen.

Also, not that big a deal to me, but if I alt - tab to my desktop while TA is running, when I go to click back on the game, all I see is a black screen. After a short time, I get this microsoft error CTD where i can send in an error report. I know someone else reported that too.

Yes, ditto here. Custom Races, I can create, but custom opponents not:
