Figured out what happened with my 360, It was the Hard Drive. Guess I'll upgrade to the 120 GB.

Ahhh, well thats not too bad then Jeff. Good excuse to upgrade to the bigger drive anyway....:D

Go ahead and slap a 500GB in there. I'm sure 360 has something like the original Xbox, where you can just put your games in the hardrive and never have to worry with the discs again.

I was reading somewhere that Microsoft was gonna make this available on some games (supposed to make the load times faster), but you still have to have the damn disc in the tray! Maybe they'll start going to digital downloads from XBox Live so you wouldn't need a disc.  That would suck for me since I don't have XBox Live and I would rather toss my XBox 360 out the window then be forced to subscribe to XBox Live just to get the games I wanted to play.

Well after watching this character closly for some time, and after being on the brink of beaing added to the senate for many months i can finally welcome The Blind Bandito into the Tyrannical Senate.

Unfortunately the 360 uses some funky format such that you can't use a standard disk without hacking the hardware.

With the new dashboard next month. And yeah, disc-in kinda defeats the purpose, to me. I haven't seen any load times so bad that I'd waste the disk space on an install that still requires a disc.

Yea, thats pretty much the way it is Kryo. However upgrading from the standard 20 GB to the new 120 GB has to give something new I hope. Shit the largest PS3 is 80 GB. But it could just be all for nothing.

The difference is that a PS3 will accept a standard HDD.

Mostly though I'm just annoyed that MS cut prices on the 20GB to clear them out, so I broke down and got one, then as soon as stock was out they cut the 60GB to the same price. :/

I had no idea they also had a 60 GB. Hell with the extra money I would save getting a 60 instead of the 120, I could buy a case of beer or Twighlight when I can find it

On a different note Kryo, 69 Karma,   My favorite number.

My first full blown DA game went well.  It's a personal best for me and it introduces me to the 1M+ club.    

I got lucky and got an economic event.  The game bogged down severely when my ship count approached 10k, so I ended the buildup early. 

I did it without using the reported DA diplomatic holes and was fairly inefficient in the early game.  It taught me a lot about the new features of DA that I'd like to take a deeper look into. 

There was one particular idea that came to mind late in the game (Year 4 as I recall) and I think it put my score over the top.  If I'm right, a 1.5M game might be on the near horizon.  We can discuss it at the ToE site while I test the idea on my next game.  I'll start one this evening with a goal of 1.2M.

Thanks, KP and Dys.  I'm getting better feedback in our private forums than I expected.  Some things seem simple after you find them.  It's just getting to the idea that takes the effort.

I'll be starting a new game this evening using what this first game taught me.  I'm sure the next one will be enlightening too.  I have to say, I really like DA when compared to DL.  Color me a convert.

And if anyone has any tips for playing galactive civilizations 2 could you post them here or if you know where i can find them could you post a link

ZYW stands for Zero Year Win, which is a strategy used to gain alot of points in a very short amount of time. typically these games will end on April 8th of the 0 year of the game. You use a very specific method to achieve this goal but within that method there are many variations.

Some games can yeild over 100K for less then 10 mins game time.
