Hi all and welcome to the Tyranny of Evil. The Tyranny of Evil is a dedicated Metaverse empire that has risen to prominence in just 1 year. 2nd place on the AltMeta and a soon to be 3rd place in the MV is no small feat from an empire with ~39 active players.

Dedicated to the pursuit of evil, we encourage all players, new or veterans, to join us in our quest to be the strongest, most active and long lived empire in the Metaverse.

I'm a new member ToE-Member from Germany and just wanted to say hello to you all! My only Metaverse-Character so far is called Adrenochrome.

I play GC2 since DL came out (with huge interruptions in between), but never tried the Metaverse until recently. I have to say it's great!

At the moment I'm really into this ZYW-Stuff (still tiny maps at the moment) and try to reach a decent score there. My best game is 35700 for now and i just read something about ARC to further improve the racial abilities and home stars for ZYW-Games. I think I'll take a look at that. Maybe I can get a few more points then.

I'm really interested in ZYW-Games in gigantic map sizes too and i'll try do some of them soon. I guess I'll have to CTRL-N a lot to get a decent starting position ...

I'm looking forward to some evil fun with ToE! :grin:

Yes, the name is related to Bela Lugosi. I love the Bauhaus song Bela Lugosi's dead an the actor himself.

Nice going on the ZYW game too! :thumbsup: You will find a heap of info throughout the Throne Room (ToE.com) but if its a bit too much or you need help just open up a thread and we will help you out mate. Between us guys we will be able to help you out and push you to the top of the MV!

i just checked and "player sg1" submitted a few games midway through last monty. all pretty low scoring and on cakewalk. thing is, he (or she) could've joined us noting that we've got some of the strongest players in the MV. this is a tricky issue. we've made some allies and done some good (and by "good" i mean helpful, not saintly) things for the community, but we've also made a few enemies. i don't want to alienate potential new allies, but i'd also rather keep our own ranks free of "spies" as nielo put it.

now i know how the colonial fleet must feel!

Funny you asked this the other day Dys...Harborne did just register at ToE.com not long after Lugosi. Big H was the nick he used. I took care of it.

Neilo, congrats on being the first to reach 500 games with one character! :D   

But, I see that there is no new medal!  #:(    I wonder when the next rank medal is supposed to show up.  Maybe its just broken?

well see I am wondering if its for another victory-type?  Like 100 Alliance Wins or something.  Because almost no one would find that.   Because, for all intents and purposes, the medals do seem to show up somewhere at least (ie the Purple Heart that shows up on the actual profile)

but that thought seems flawed in that the current medals don't really seem to distinguish between battle type anyhow.

 

Kryo had tried asking around back in the spring, but I don't think he got anywhere with it.  There's a chance no one knows.

I looked at his MV profile, not the forum....because I cant see forum medals at work.  The 500 game winner icon does show up, but no new medal on the profile.  How annoying!

Neilo, Im curious...any idea how much MV score increase you were seeing with each game?  I'm guessing around 3 - 4.5k.

Thanks KP! I was a bit dissapointed to not find the nest achievement medal, i think they are broke, perhaps no-one thought anyone would play 500 games. Kryo did mention that the MV would get some attention in 2.0, IIRC, in the 250 medal thread that i had. I might give it a kick and see if that is still the case.

For the ~75K games about 3.7K but around the 4.8K for the ~80K games. The high 90K games were getting me about 7.2K on average.

By the end though, i was just playing for wins not so much score, it took a considerable effort to hit 500 i can tell you, but i was determined to be there first...and not someone else...

Hehe, I'm glad to see that too...we shall not speak the forbidden name.   Well, you deserve a medal for stamina.    I thought about trying to steal your thunder, but I would have had to play about 90 games in the last week, ugh!  I dont think my gf would have been happy with all that quality time with my computer. XD

It seems not all that long ago there was the disciussion about your 250 win medal. The medal listing shows like 5 achievment medals that no one seems to have anywhere. There have been a few threads discussing players' ideas on what these could be for. I'm not sure how much thought the metaverse is getting these days.

In that 250 medal thread Kryo stated that the MV would be getting some love for 2.0. When i prodded about this a month or so ago, Kryo once again said wait till 2.0.

Well 2.0 is just about upon us and i have not heard anything about changes or love to the MV in any journal. I have prodded Brad about this in a thread or two but no response just yet. We may have to open up a specific thread about 2.0 and the MV and see if we can get a response.

Being very selfish here, but dammit, if there is no 500 wins medal they could at least make me one.....It wasnt easy to get there!

Congrats on the big score Dystopic, 500 games Neilo. I bought Halo 3 on my birthday, havent played my 360 for a year since I got it back after the red circle of doom.  Well it fraking broke down again 3 hrs into Halo.

Have you tried the towel trick mate? Search for it on YouTube. And i assure it works i helped my brother do his, after he had a RROD and its alive and kicking again.

wait is there 3 lights or 4? i ask this there are two types of rings of death, 3 is nothing its just overheated 4 hadware falue...   hope it helps...
