Minor races don't have ships listed on the tradescreen by design because their resources are much more limited.

Phaedyme: were all of your orbit slots full?
Clarification for my last post:

Phaedyme: were all your orbit slots full when the governor failed to update your projects? Also, did you check to make sure that it wasn't actually switching them and just not updating the planet list?

Also, I tried to reproduce your bug where trying to colonize a completely colonized system locked up the game, and it didn't happen. Was the colony ship the last one that you moved?

Under the description for Gravity Accelerators, it says "20 0.000000aster" instead of 20% faster. may wanna change that % to %% :)

I had the UP vote to have me contribute 3% of my incom, but when I went to the UP page it said "string not found" under the description for the current action

I'd probably consider this a bug. When the votes are fairly close in the senate for declaring war on a civilization, you can keep trying to declare over and over again on the same turn until finally luck goes your way. I think you should only be allowed one attempt to turn (per civ) to declare war.

I'm still having the above problem (when I end the turn, TURN button changes to a clock, with no CPU action, and stays there), and it's gotten to the point where this will happen every turn. When I start a new game, I have two or three turns after which every turn gives me this bug. Saving and restoring will sometimes work, but it appears I do no research for the turn, even when this works. Pushing enter works intermittently. I would greatly appreciate any assistance on how to avoid this bug, or just keep it from happening every darn turn. Thanks.

I built Diplomatic Translators first, only to have the Drengin build them many, many turns later. Can give a save game if requested.

Metaverse submission doesn't seem to work, at least I don't have any points. After submitting two games with 300+ and 800+ points, I find this puzzling (GC didn't complain).

Stardock works A-Ok. I'm behind a NAT. Can help on request, you know my email :)

Is this a bug? I'm at war with the Drengin Empire. It's been going on for years. I get a 'random event' message. Seems one of my guys accidentally insults the Drengin at a dinner and they are now at war with me.

Pretty random for a random event, no?

I have the PQ bonus of 15%, took a moral choice that gave 15% and only got one of them. Looks like in this case it didn't stack.

Possible planetary invasion bug:

When using Combat Transports (haven't checked this with regular transports) and winning the normal invasion (free with no modifiers) ground battle, the entire remaining load of combat troops becomes the planet population, but I only lose one Combat Transport, and all of the remaining CT's are still fully loaded! This can have a snowballing effect, because you can then lease a new (or several new) CT's on newly acquired planet, and use them to crush even the largest planets.

I have only observed this when use the "normal" invasion option.

Again, haven't checked all posts but when you cultural takeover the last plaent for another race you don't get any notification/message. The only obvious impact is trade income drops & race vainshes from graphs screens.

Also, is there another problem with Metaverse? I finished a game with score, clicked submit and new game score doesn't show in metaverse. (OK, not a great score only 668 but better than prior :) )

With regard to bugs, rather than checking entire 16 pages of forum is there a consolidated list to refer to so reposts don't occur?

I don't think the "bug" where minor AI's still war after the UP passes a resolution to end all wars because they aren't a part of the UP, therefore not subject to their laws! ;)

I have something of a question, if not an outright bug. My last game, the Torian allied with the Yor. A cycle would ensure, being at war with both, I would beat the stuffing out of the Torian for a time, then force them to concede peace - (conceding many of their resources, money or influence at the same time). Exactly one turn later, the Torian would declare war on me, due to the fact I was still at war with their ally. Now I understand the Yor were probably forcing them (or requesting) to either go to war with me or they would break the alliance, etc. However, this happened at least 10 times during the game, each time I gained a tremendous amount in resources, and usually the Torian would be paying me a tribute (which didn't seem to end when they re-declared war). Oh yes, this was only on normal intelligence mode.

My point is, it seems the AI should either break off the tributes after re-declaring war, or else never go to peace in the first place if they won't be able to keep the truce. Perhaps it was just the 'normal' mode AI playing dumb, I'm not sure. I just think it's too 'gamey' the way it is. And for those who will say, "just don't make peace then"...well, my intention was to try and gain peace with both parties, but I could never get the chance. With one-turn re-declarations of war, it just wasn't happening. Anyway, thanks for listening, I'll get back to the game :D

With the 1.02 patch

There is a bug with the new update. If you click on the system you want, then click on the planet you want. Now check the Auto launch check box for the ships to leave orbit. Now click another planet on the right side. The X isn't switching to the new planet's preferences. Extremly confusing.

Hope that helps

when a group of fully loaded combat transports conquers a planet, one goes away, like normal, and the ohters retain their troops, like normal, but the planet's population goes up to the total amount of troops in the combat transport group. I had 12 transports invade a planet, and the planet's pop went to 60 billion, and i still had 55 billion in the transports.

also, the music for the other empires goes glitchy and doesnt really play after about an hour of playing the game

also, i am having a VERY hard time getting my scores to submit to the metaverse

Anyway, I found so strange.. I tired to be pure evil. So, I noticed that another comp(Arcean) declared me due i am evil after meet me in couple later turns. What a ironic.. Why another comp is involving my business?!?! If, they're so worring about me being very evilish. Why not attack Dregin(setted pure evil)??

So, please fix that silly..

Also, quit the game loading time need be fix.. When i press a button, 'Quit game' on the menu. it appear freeze but, it took time to close this program, like more than 2 min.!! I am so tired of waiting.. Please, Will you do it for my favor, Brad? Thank you very much!!!

Still having problems with the Turn button not updating all the data on the screen. I just upgraded to the 1.02 version. Now the Planet List is being updated when I click the Turn button... but the Date is always ONE MONTH BEHIND the actual date... until I click on the screen somewhere.

Here's an example... I started a brand new game and just said "Done, Done, Done" on the first couple of popups (planet, research, etc.) Now I'm sitting at the map on Jan 2178.

I click the Turn button. Date still says Jan.

Click the Turn button again... date now says Feb.

Click Turn again... date says Mar.

HOWEVER... if I click in the middle of the map, the date changes to APR... which is actually the date it should be (count the "clicks" above).

Sorry, I didn't read all of the 396 preceding posts. So I will keep my observations short, in case I repeat a lot:

- Computing error in Yearly Report: Everytime I load a saved game, I get a "We've fallen behind technologically" or at the most a "We're doing OK", even if I'm the galaxy's technological overlord!

- Some starbase module descriptions are cut off.

- The race pick "Range" + 1 doesn't do a thing! My 1st colony vessel still couldn't travel farther than one sector!

- This ain't a real bug, but in the main screen with Earth and the space station EARTH IS MIRROR-INVERTED! I'm sure Turkey shouldn't be west of Greece!

- There's an error with the "Destabilization" slider. When it's already at maximum, you can still enlarge the number spent by clicking the right arrow over and over.

- Planet and Ship List: When you choose them, the slider thumb is always at the top, even if the visible planets are from further down!

- Diplomacy screen: Every time you choose "make peace with..." and undo the selection, an additional "make peace with..." option is added to the "Treaties" list.

- I can't recreate that one, but once I had under "Domestic Policy", "Spent:", "Tribute" 4294967286 bc/turn. Luckily, the number wasn't computed.

I hope I could help. You may laugh at me, but the thing about the mirror-inverted Earth bugs me most! :)

Okay, this is silly but:
Under the "Modify Abilities" part of the new game screen, for the Speed bonus, it refers to "Tactical Mauve ring." Are these special, light-purple rings? Do ships who paint their rings mauve go faster? Are there other colors to unlock, say, fucia?

I saved a game wherein I did not have control of the Senate. When I reloaded it, the Senate still showed that I did not have control but when I clicked the bonus button, it said that my party was in control and listed my benefits.

This has probably been mentioned already, but it is a rather unfair bug, so here goes:
The AI retains the ability to build tradegoods and wonders if the player or another AI has built them already. The only one who loses the ability to build these things if someone else does it first is the player. Surely, this is not as it should be?

Bug with 4.02 - I started a normal sized (8x8) galaxy with tight clusters, occasional yellow stars, etc, sub-normal intellect on all the AI races, and random alignments.

So far (not the bug part) the Altairians have decided they hate me, because the Drengin decided *they* hated me, although the Drengin like me now...anyway, in the latest round of "declare a war until the human outnumbers us," I was unable to attack Altairian starbases or planets (I didn't try to attack any Drengin). The ships would just go to the space the starbase or planet was in, which seemed abnormal (esp. planets).

I also noticed another thing - I know that planets won't build ships if there's already sixteen in orbit, but it also won't auto-launch if there's 16 in orbit. I discovered this right after researching battleships and needing one *right then* and the display said it was "one turn away," but when I went back, nothing was in the queue, and I couldn't add anything until I reduced the number of ships in orbit. Anyway, that may not be a bug, but I thought it worth mention.

CariElf:

"Phaedyme: were all of your orbit slots full?"

No. None were. The first time *that* happened was the first game I played after patching to 1.02. I manually changed about 20 planets' ship queues so that they would start building again.
