I personally have always found there's no value in re-inventing the wheel... assuming a new personna.... changing your Nickname.

Doing so just breaks continuity....people won't always then realise who you were...or are.

If you had a florrid past...so what?  If that is behind you it can stay there without any need to rename thyself.

But that's only the half of it....

The BIGGER issue is with the creation of aliases....or second accounts.

A wiser man than me has stated MANY times that he loathes the concept of 'false identity'....mainly because it has been used to considerable effect against him and his co in the past...[on other sites in particular].

I agree, totally.

Aliases [unless you're some sexy chick in a TV series] are all about deception and that is almost always for a negative end.

When duplicitous [and duplicated] accounts are found on Wincustomize.com....they get removed.  If they respawn then all 'versions' are removed.

I must admit however, that some of the motives for duplication are pretty feeble.....;)

when I started at WC, years ago, I was Blindbat, (or was it blindbatty) anyway after I subscribed I wanted a nick that was connected to me. ie Cynder-Elluh!
So I changed my nick (same account) to Cynder-Elluh.

There has already been a thread about nicks and why you have what you have. I already told my story!

Multiple accounts are wrong...bottom line...

Speaking of changing nicks, back in the early days of skinning, I went under N.G.E. on custo and skinz, later adopting Mack/N.G.E. on WC, but that always bothered me, so I switched to Mackintosh a while back, been meaning to ask T-Man about the possibility of nuking the user who stole "Mack" from me, seeing he hasn't logged on for years...that would be nice...but anyway, that's pretty much all the "changes" I've gone through over the last 7 odd years, most of the people have manged to keep up

Adamness...ummm, didn't you know that talking to yourself is the first sign of madness......given the quantity of posts, seems you're well on the way. Second sign of madness is answering yourself....alot of that going on here too.

Maybe there are only 2 or 3 different people on these forums..


And now you're saying you've got multiple personality disorder as well? I thoroughly recommend you seek professional help for that.....don't know if there's a cure or not, but you'll need to get it under control before Jafo finds out and exiles all 2 or 3 of you.
Don't think he'll be to concerned about conversing with yourself, but you saw what he said about removing duplicitous accounts, so do not delay in making that appointment.

I used to be known by another name, jdcerebro, but got that changed to my far cooler nickname that I have now. For a brief instant in time, I had the name CerebroJD except with really wierd characters... T-man loved me for that...

I once created an account for my sister...back then when i thought she might want to get into this...but that was years ago. Now that you've mentioned it can an admin please close it down? I think she named herself Digitalium Regnum or something...not sure though...

All seems a bit disturbed to me....better be next in line when Adamness comes out of the shrink's office

Besides,those closer to 'that' guy reveal it wasn't Pope.....that not only did he aspire to be God, but also applied for the position.......only withdrew his application when he realised that he's an aetheist and therefore wouldn't believe in himself
