In regards to WindowBlinds not letting you get past the reboot message. I have one thing to say. Quicktime. If quicktime is installed that is the reason why your WindowBlinds will not work. I had this exact same problem on my Vista Home Premium system. I uninstalled Quicktime but it still would not work. Why, because Quicktime over writes system files needed by Windows and WindowBlinds. Over writing these files to suit it's own programs preferences makes it impossible for WindowBlinds to load.<b

Good point, Vicsan. Not all skins work properly in Vista. Due to the way the start menu is built some skins will not skin the all programs scrolling section right. I know this because I downloaded a few that did not work right. WinCustomize should have a section just for Vista WindowBlinds skins. that way we know for sure they work right. That way we don't have to waist our time downloading and getting our hopes up that a skin we liked works when it doesn't. For the most part,

Ok Shelbygt_the_Car~! Here's what I have done. I have turned off Defender. Turned off AVG Anti-Virus. Turned off UAC. Uninstalled WindowBlinds. Rebooted. Set Windows Vista Theme to Aero. Loaded SDC and reinstalled WidnowBlinds. Rebooted again. Program still won't load past the reboot message unless I double click all the exe files in the program folder and let them do their stuff in the background. I believe this problem is designer error. If you look there are other Vista skins out there that skin that area correctly.

I had the same problem when I first installed WB 5.51. AVG saw wbload.dll as a virus so I hit ignore, disabled AVG and reinstalled WindowBlinds and AVG hasn't picked it up as a virus since. Oh, and by the way. The reason for my wanting to install WindowBlinds on my Vista Premium is because I use Adobe CS2 Suite and CS2 does not skin properly with the Windows Aero Theme. So I'm back to using Windows Basic until I can get WindowBlinds to work properly and then I can use my Windows Vista Skins that I have.

The Real Time Protection option in Windows Defender has nothing to do with this WB problem. I unchecked the Real Time box and turned Windows Defender off completely before I installed WB and I still get the reboot message every other time I launch WB. I have rebooted multiple times and still the same problem. I have uninstalled WB and reinstalled it from SDC and still the same issue.
