Any ideas anyone?
You will have to change one of the settings in WB. Go to Basic Settings and scroll down to Enhance Desktop Elements. Uncheck "apply any wallpaper supplied". Click apply and your wallpaper will now stick.
If you have a serial you will also have the link to download the enhanced version. Look at your email.
you can always write a little batch file to close object dock and start the game. When you then exit them game you'll have to restart OD manually. you will need taskkill - write a batch file that looks something like this: "C:\whereveryouputit\taskkill.exe" /F /IM msnmsgr.exe /IM Type32.exe /IM Point32.exe /IM OSDMenu.exe /IM Monitor.exe /IM RcMan.exe /IM CTSysVol.exe /IM mcagent.exe /IM yzdock.exe following that, write anot
"Owners of Object Desktop and WindowBlinds also gain exclusive access to the Enhanced Skin packs. These outstanding skins transform the Windows GUI to works of art as well as adding functionality" "Download the enhanced skin pack via Stardock Central. Click on the + symbol next to WindowBlinds (for registered users) and install the additional module. " Now, I am a registered windowblinds user that has bought it...so where is this
God almighty, from your lack of grammer, pucntuation and spelling I can see why you have problems using a computer. Take your time - it's really quite logical. Do exactly what Yraq has said, but for the time being I suggest you remove anything else you have installed such as DesktopX. Ho Hum. I was wanting to update my WB to the beta, but I am sure I read somewhere that the proper release would be out soon...if so, when will it be likely to appear? Cheers
Hmm - so what about the couple of free premium skins that one was supposed to be able to get upon installin Stardock Central?
My MS wireless keyboard & mouse work like a dream - had them for a couple of years now - god knows the number of batteries I have gone through, but it's all good! Pitty there isn't enough paint on the mouse though - it wore off after 6 months.
what a lovely present! I got mine as a pre-xmas stocking filler!
Are there any other reported problems of power dvd not playing the video of some DVD's? I am unsure whether all DVD's are affected, but certainly it is power dvd that has problems with Windblinds. Any fox I wonder? I have to unload WB if I want to watch a movie in it!
Hm Hmmmm! I like the idea, it's kinda useful ISH but at the moment it is very very clunky. It doesn't seem to like windows much! An aside - you don't actually need to install it. You can use LessMSIerables to extract the contents of the msi and then just run the executable normally, no install required. Clunk Clunk! I don't think I'll be using it -- it's just something to waste time with. Cheers for the find anway! <img src="http://im
OK I am a complete idiot. This post can be deleted because I am a great big idiot and have found the reason why. It was nothing to do with Windowblinds, it just seemed to happen at the same time as installing WB. OK, cheers. I'm going to curl up in the corner now.
awww don't say that! That means that I've screwed something over! Buggery buggery buggery what button have I pressed!
Hi Neil, For ease of explaining, I have uploaded a screen shot here http://img57.imageshack.us/my.php?image=aceutils0ux.jpg It happens with remove junk files, clean system registry, in fact any sub-program of Ace Utilities. I have noticed it somewhere else too, but I can't for the life of me remember where that was. I originally thought it was something to do with Dialogue backgrounds, but it happens whether the "Skin Windows Backgrounds" is app
I wonder, can someone help me? I have a problem in that some programs such as Ace Utilities end up having a black background such that it is nigh impossible to read anything in the window. This problem occurs both with and without Windowblinds loaded, but I know that Windowblinds is the cause. Has anyone else had this problem, and has anyone found a solution? Cheers
My buddies still stick with Luna Blue...they are always amazed that I have something different! Mum uses olive because she doesn't know that you can have different - I think I might just stick a different msstyle on for her - she'd like that and she'd get the hang of how to change it too since it's all within the standard properties dialogue. And Dad, well, he uses classic! Do you know what settings you can change for the UI?
Man, I'll stick with Luna thank you! Aero is far too dark - I hope there are ways of changing the colour, opacity, and size of the taskbars and titlebars. Awful, truly awful.
Active font text of menus is Black. Text that is greyed out in menus is, supprisingly, grey. According to this post (https://forums.stardock.com/index.aspx?ForumID=167&AID=96890#756573) it will soon be fixed in the next release! Hoorah!
But...I...don't...use....Window..Fx! I also don't use shadows....hmmmm oh well I guess I can live with it....I think it something to do with alpha-blending and whatnot - seems I don't have a problem with opaque start menus
Ah another problem. I seem to have problems with unresponsive Rolls! This seems to be a new problem - The button used for rolling up a window is often unresponsive. I can roll a window and unfortunately am unable to un-roll it. Other times I am unable to roll it at all. I am at a loss as to whether this is a skin problem or what? It occurs when actually pressing a coded button, for example in the MacOsX skin. EDIT EDIT EDIT Seems a resta
I too have this problem! Although it seems minor it is amazing how annoying it actually is.
