At the risk of sounding like a suck-up, I don't find the meta tag at WC to be misleading at all. Fact is, if you want to add more skins to XP, you're going to have to do one of the following: - Hack your uxtheme.dll yourself - Install the glorified hack known as STylesXP - Install WindowBlinds Given that Microsoft does not recommend the first two options, and given that they DO endorse WB, I'd say it's fair for SD to call WB's skins "XP Skins" if they so please. <b

I guess McNeill decided to celebrate April Fools Day a little early. Sure, OSs should be designed with consistency in mind. I won't argue that. But whether or not those standards are followed should be left up to the consumer. Poorly researched, poorly written, and smacks of someone who's afraid of customization and would rather do away with it than deal with it. Jumping into an "experts agree" paragraph right after your introduction shows just how desperate you are to make eve

"If someone came up with a way to circumvent using the OD network, or the ability to use WB skins without purchasing it, I don't think there'd be a need to discuss the issue. Why is it always OK to trash the "big boys", or rip them off for that matter?" You can't compare a paid service like the OD network with a free one, like AIM.

Dave Coursey put so much lapdog brown-nosing in that article I can't help but to want to shower right now. AOL, the king of intrusive software, is upset about Trillian accessing its network? Gee, I was told my AIM account was FREE. If they're so pissed about potential lost revenue fro ads, they can feel free to email them to me. Who SEES the ads on AIM, anyway? Let me make a prediction for the future: AOL will purchase Cerulean Studios, folding it into the the main company. Trilli

Notcie he still can't explain WHAT exactly you're supposed to be doing to the "scene." I think you hit the nail in the head: He hates all things related to Capitalism, and thus it's ok (in his own twisted worldview) to lump everyone together. ps--- I'm the one posting as Beren. The name Firestorm was already taken.

14) The desire to be able to provide for your family while at the same time doing something you love is to be looked down upon, for no one should be able to enjoy their job, consarnit! 15) Commercial developers have no place in the "scene." The "scene" is for l337 hax0r5 who are incapable of seeing a project through to completion, but who nevertheless benefit from the existence of commercial apps, like, say, their OS.
