With v1.60.361168 known to be an unstable release of Star Control: Origins, is there going to be an update soon?

I purchased Star Control: Origins (base and DLC's) on Steam and been playing just that version of the game and quickly became rather disappointed when I found the v1.60.361168 Release to be a known unstable version of the game that causes crashes after every 10 minutes of game play. For the past 2 months alone, I uninstalled and reinstalled Star Control: Origins three or four times (the first 2 times to playtest whether or no
