Well for one what difficulty do you play at? This determines to a large degree how your relations will turn out with other races. In GC1 there are tactics called "cookie cutters" for your first 10 or so turns to make your starting position and other things work in your favor. Also your starting position can play a big role in initial rush for starting new planets etc...for any race. Your other question is answered by the game itself. These aliens races have been scou

Ya'll remember Sid Meirs Civilizations? In it once you researched needed tech a little box would come up asking if you wanted to upgrade your older units to newer ones with out penalizing exp or anything else. i would vote yes for a similiar concept here for this purpose.Sure it could cost a ton of money but that is a choice you make to further your race. Or if you decided to scrap it why not give a little material back for another project, or create a pool of reclaimed resources so

I tried starting a custom race. As soon as you set all attributes for your race and hit next button on last page game just closes to desktop. Has the custon races been activated yet or just a placeholder for an upcoming beta release? I did not crash like GC1 used to or freeze. Just went staight to desktop.

I don't agree. A market place is like a fleamarket. A bank holds control over retail, deveolement etc.. Also the benefits are stackable. A marketplace is what 8 % and a bank is 10 % so it adds up to 18% in long run. In GC1 you needed all the help you can get specially on crippling and maso with your economy.

Retreating isn't really a viable option. If you tried what would stop your opponent from just following and finishing you off anyways. If it was implemented then you should have a reduced defense ....aka being shot in the back approach. Or maybe you could have a percentage if you can retreat successfully. This could be done by your admirals skill lvl versus your opponents skill lvl. For example if your ADM was lvl 2 and your opponent was lvl 4 then you would only have a 10% chance of a succ

As a long time member of GC1 it was noted that GC2 would have MP in it. But as I return to see the GC2 product ,I see that this was nixxed. Most of the games I played for months on end had MP in it to keep it fresh and more interesting. I got tired once I figured out how to beat GC1 on maso. You could apply the same principals and 95% of time win it. BORING!!! No matter how much content was added it was still apply same things and hit turn button. In the end I knew I would win so I left for a MM

I kinda like the above.....except I would like to see the asteroid belt in there .... it could give a solar system extra defense abilities.

Hello all Been a long time. If you send a constructor to a SB and decide not to upgrade it the constructor dissappears. I hit no and cancel and my constructor dissappeared.
