i am so glad to see BlueWhale n Xcon qualified as the finalists, they could be finalists of the previous 2 events IF they were submitted earlier...... btw, i m also a huge fan of ROUNDer, the only complaint i could offer is the set has too few icons to win the gold medal
to frogboy it's all about preference!! i genuinely believe AzenisII is the most usable, i have been switching blinds since the contest started, but 1 or 2 days later, i would switch back to azenisII..btw, i dont see the bar button as a shortcoming... anyway, controversy is forever part of every competition...
to elsius, it's great to have u in this contest, ur presence as an audience brings so much fun to me!! all of ur comments r so humorous.. to zoomba, i dont get confused with "usability", "originality" n "fabolous-looking", for example i believe Sirius is very faboloius looking n original, but it's lowly usable(no offense to Cerberu5).. AzenisII, on the other side, is flawless,
no offense to the top 2 medalist, i m happy to see both the gold n silver medal were taken by chinese, becos i m chinese too.... but like RPGFX once commented, AzenisII is probably the greatest blind of all time, let alone this contest n it's commendably usable, it should win the gold medal... Aluminium n Dreamyworld r very good skin, but they dint create "WOW" when they were released! on the other side, Acrylic, AzenisII n Ares both created "WOW"
i understand the judges were emphasizing the "usability" when voting, but like other repliers of this post, i dont agree with the result...i feel mike n dani r both ripped off, but at least they got something... jj, IMHO, is ripped off unbelievably, how in this world could he win nothing with his amazing AzenisII? i believe many ppl feel the same way too the result really generates controversy
bluewhale n Xcons were submitted late, their presence MIGHT have influence on the overall voting n judging, this is really an ip competition to remember...btw, i m wondering how the BEST ip winners will be decided, is it the same procedure like most usable ip n most original ip..the public vote n decide the top10, then the judges select the winner from the top10, or is it another different system??
hard to believe quality sets like FROIS, The Preface and Rounder end up with nothing...dont get me wrong, folks, the winners all deserve to win, congratulation to them, but i just like the said 3 sets more n seeing them being "medal-less", it's somewhat a bad feeling..
to dester, i m a chinese who isnt living in china mainland, but i certainly feel the same way too...keep it up....
FROIS-01 is the only entry which earns top10-rating in both category, seems like many ppl like futurism... anyway, congratulation to all top10 qualifier, you are GREATTTTTTTTT!!! the judges must be scratching their heads now, fortunately they r choosing from ONLY 10 finalist in respective event, we were choosing from 50 entries...
